Approve or Disapprove

That is the question.

By "handling Iraq" you're referring to the way he buries his head in the sand and pretends that everything over there is going well?

Disapprove, obviously.

So much support for Bush!!

Anyway, I would like to say that summat my lecturer remarked on on the subject...

Soldiers should be trained for the obvious offensive stuuf, + be trained as a police force (like many European police forces, they have the local police, then the "carbonari" etc who are a paramilitary police force, trained in the military plus police) America seemed to be only concerned with toppling Saddam, and lets face it, that wasn't exactly hard when you're America. However, America ignored what would happen after, and that is where our problems started. We did nothing to stop the looting, we never fixed the water etc etc etc. All the talk of "winning hearts and minds" and we did sod all bout it. To anyone with half a brain winning hearts and minds isnt too dificult, but the American military dont seem to understand the concept...

George, is it you or occ that is writing the neocon paper? Either way I would love to see it when it is finished, perhaps a PDD posting?

They should never have been there in the first place..

The yanks lost 2500 men/women in the hijacks..

Since then they have lost more than that losing a war against someone who had nothing to do with the events on that day.

But now that they are there their doing the best job they can!!

Same feeling here.

However flawed the concept was; perhaps toppling Hussein was a good idea but as seen in too many overseas conflicts involving the United States there tends to be no long term plan and lacking oversight.
