Paul Van Dyk @ Nation REVIEW OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH MMMYYYYYYYYYY

fuck it mgith aswell make a review thread even though I don't like NYTA's as much

I gotta say I HAVE NEVER SEEN PVD SMILE,LAUGH,WINK numerous times. HE WAS EVEN DANCING MOST OF THE NIGHT.

I got there around 11pm and the line moved quick I got in there like 5 minutes no later. Place was croweded but having 5 rooms work well and they had the music from the main stage playing in every room.I saw Sky and her bf and Koon drinking outside pre-gaming

I got to the main stage and Dan Sampson got the crowd going which awesome blends of house. Well like almost and hour guess walks through the side door obviously PVD and he setups like in 3 minutes and already people chatting PVD PVD PVD. Poor Dan but man I wish he could have kept playing till 1am but Paul got on at 12:04. He started right of way rocking it.Saw mostly groovenuats no TA's insight lol.

The vibe was so there and was going nutsss something Glow always failed on but oh well. PVD was so into his set that my co-worker/friend asked me if PVD was on something and went yes he is on high, A HIGH FROM HIS MUSIC. Just pure bliss through the night.

There was some built dude who got to drunk and was pushing and hitting everyone but he got escorted out quickly. Good thing PVD didn't see that.

Overall I left home very happy and this night will be my one of a few highlights of 2005.

Some tracks I remember

Andian - Beautiful Things (SOME FUCKIN WICKED REMIX THAT I PROBLAY WILL NEVER HEAR AGAIN)

Paul Van Dyk - Time of our Life

Paul Van Dyk - The Other Side

Randy Katana - In-Silence (Txitxarro Mix)

Randy Katana - Fancy Fair 2005 (Fancy Edit)

Marco V - More Than a Life Away

White Water Feat. Melinda Gareh - The Unknown (Club Mix) (Paul van Dyk Rework) ALWAYS WANTED TO HEAR THIS ONE LIVE

Paul Van Dyk - For Angel

Paul van Dyk Feat. Wayne Jackson - The Other Side (Vandit Club Mix) [Vandit50A]

Sorry if my tracklisting seems nothing intersting but he did play some wicked stuff I never heard. Around 2am HE START GOING OFF INTO SOME ZONE Some wisked stuff.

Sky - I am so sorry you couldn't find your bf and then later I heard you got kicked out for being to drunk

Grooovenauts - Awesome time see you people there see you at Ferry Corsten??

Josy - Wow your actully alive again, time to party it up once again hehe

The rest I hope you guys had really great night because I sure did.

You guys are in for a treat at Summer Stage

welll I am off to work

pEACE

Re: Paul Van Dyk @ Nation REVIEW OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH MMMYYYYYYYYYY

fucking PVD tore that bitch up yo! me and my friend had a blast! and so did my sisters and their friends. the 3rd hour was simply sick! he started playing tech-trance with some very weird sounding elements that made the crowd go wild.. it was definitely worth my $30 and geting lost getting to the club! it was amazing seeing pvd. i knew he loved the crowd that night! i couldnt just stop dancing, even when i was upfront like 2 people away from the rail, with no room to dance. best moment for me was, when he played without you near for the 2nd time! that track kicks fuckin ass! it was nice hearing it live, and 2x well i hope you guys enjoyed as i did. ill be in mad pictures!!!! haha cant wait

peter! nice meeting u man, waht happened to u and ur girl last night? was she alright?

and where the hell are the rest of the TAs last night? paula? limin? where were u?

anyway, mad props to pvd! "your my man dyk!"

I was sooo there. I didn't see you anywhere. I was there with Chris (christoph/ dj skaya) and my friend Sonja. (BUT we had to bug out a bit ealry because our ride had some issues) I shoulda talked to you before I got there. Next time Clyde

I was there...bluish-green camo pants, black and grey shirt, red hair, and a whole lotta smiles.

While I don't remember much of PVD's set, what I do remember was pretty solid.

HAHA - exactly what I did
what an epic fucking weekend
my only regret is that I didn't go to Miami too :

Thanx to everyone at Nation (fans and staff) for making it an absolutely incredible night.

I spent the first two hours in the VIP chillin', but then spent the next two directly in front of PVD (sorry if I blocked anybody's line of sight). All I can say is GADDDAMM!!!

I can't say enough about the vibe at Nation - everybody was happy, excited, and completely stoked to be there. There was no pushing, bumping, or anything of the sort (that I saw) on the floor. I met some great people too - to the very cute chick from Jacksonville Fla, I'd def like to hang out again . I also met some kid who drove down from Michigan on a whim !!!! He didn't even have a ticket - I saw him after the show w/ a huge smile on his face. He obviously got in...

Ok, enough.... PVD @ Nation was simply awesome...

Nation is always very cool.

My favorite club by far, ever.

Posted by Mebot on Aug-22-2005 15:25:

Hey glad to hear you all had a great time on Friday night.

Ive got a quick question that's a little off-topic. Does anyone know what the future for Nation is going to be? I ask because I know there is construction and zoning codes going into effect for the new baseball stadium.

Does anyone know if Nation is going to be moved or relocated anywhere or is it staying at Half St?

i heard a *rumor* that it was going to be turned into an office building or parking garage...but i have NO clue how accurate that is.....

yeah see i've been reading the Washington Post about all the development in SE and i read all the acquistions and movements going on. a lot of buildings down in that area are being turned into office buildings.

i wonder if your "rumor" is true or not.

Posted by tctitan on Aug-22-2005 16:48:

man fri. was about as close as it could get to being "buzz" again...phenomenal vibe. pvd just absolutely ripped it; halfway through like someone else said he starts gettin' wicked & dirty, i'm used to him doing that in ny when he plays his extended sets but didn't think he'd do it here. he was def. more animated than any other time i've seen him, dancing & smiling, clapping his hands . highlight of the night for me was randy katana - in silence (txitxarro remix); i was right near the front when i recognized it, then the buildup began and the whole fucking club was jumping up & down in unison, that totally made my night right there.

I love that track, but I retired it months and months ago.

I was suprised people still react like that to it.
