The IDM and netlabel thread.

This is a carry-on from a previous thread, but speciffically devoted to netlabels whom (usually) release free music of any kind. News/releases/upcoming info etc.

Dude, please stop this offensive shit here, on good thread like this, pm and argue about your relationships.
If you don't like thread/genre/thread starter just don't post here.
Or if you want to state your opinion please, do it in more intelligent way.

Hmm... where do I start with all those labels ?!? A label with you know.. girly, glittery IDM. Like Four Tet and Cinematic Orchestra and Murcof and the like ?

Oh, another worth mentioning is Tipper.

Thanks for the tip Potassium B. Looking into Sleepy Town Manufacture now.

Grab a few VA's from the various IDM labels. I suggest maybe Sutemos. They have quite alot of the I guess you can call it "melodic" IDM. Just about everything on Sutemos is worth listening to.

Sleepy Town Manufacture is also great. Theres a couple other artists I'm thinking of, but can't recall the names. I think Sense is one. Idmonster is also a great producer. I'll post more names as they pop into my head. But def check out Sutemos, see if that's what you're after. :>

I recommend to listen to Lali Puna - 40 Days, awesome track, and as for more artists/albums Aphex Twin Druqks and Selected Ambient Works (especially part II).
And yeah V/A albums is best to download imo, after that you can decide what artist you like the most = whose stuff you'd enjoy and need to get, but that's for starters (I am the one), and as I see Estella you're not. :]

Wow. This will keep me busy for awhile. I'm aldfkjalkdfj dl'ing jf;lkajflaf Lali Puna now. What a cool name! Thank you two so much! A fun group I forgot to mention is Flanger. And I feel that I didn't give enough respect to Neotropic. It's "melodic" lol. Full of fluttering beauty. And the artist Colleen does her own mandolin work.

Yeah, Intelligent Toys I and II, are the things to get on Sutemos :]]

Yeh, Intelligent Toys II was great. Not to mention featured an unreleased Ulrich Schnauss track. Props to City Centre Offices for discovering that man.

Well... I just got done reading the review of Everything Ecstatic on the Sutemos site. If your not into "schizo" sporatic jazz fusion, then it won't be up your alley. Diversity: symptoms of being schizoid. I preferred calling it "spewed pastels on canvas" but whatever. hahaa. I like this little site.

Do you two like Tosca? Swayzak? The label !k7 is dandy!

Posted by Estella on Aug-20-2005 20:05:

lol my participation in this thread is almost outdone but I just got done listening to Lali Puna. It reminds me alot of DNTEL. I like the effect at 2:52, whatever that screeching instrument is. Thanks for the heads up, Potassium

Posted by bananas on Aug-20-2005 20:09:

you're fast one :>

Posted by Linden Flowers on Aug-20-2005 20:17:

Hmm, not too many people here like IDM it seems. :l

Posted by Estella on Aug-20-2005 20:17:

Heres's a song for you:

Vincent Gallo - I wrote this song for the girl Paris Hilton.

Soulseek, by the way.

I'm outta here, Potassium. Good evening!
