[REVIEW] Paul van Dyk at Central Park's Summerstage 2005 edition!!!
i'm in the office right now, just got back from central park. i had a pretty good time, but i don't think it could match last year for intensity in all aspects visual or aural. this year's show was still worth the price of admission, definitely had an awesome time.
it was nice to see a pretty huge TA turnout at summerstage.
i wish pvd would play more tech-like stuff. i just eat it up
pics hopefully soon
showed up at 7:30 and it was sold out. There was a decent crowd and vibe outside, but I was too pissed to stay for the rest of the night. Glad it was a good night.

def. not as good as last year, but still a good crowd/good vibe, though the track selection was pretty mediocre. paul trotted out wayne jackson for a live PA of the other side as an encore which was nice.

I definatley enjoyed it, i've been to all 3 shows of pvd@cp and last years definatley holds the title of best show.. He did surprise me when he played M.I.K.E. - Turn Out The Lights.. i heard a bit of people going crazy over it and it bought back some memories of the triboro crew in toronto
thanks to everyone for everything
last year r00led.
too bad it didn't rain.
hated the music, had a great time anyway
Good party, good muzik, but i prefer pvd in clubs where you can feel the muzik louder!
.anyway was a good show and i look forward to the next pvd gig.
Music was decent but nothing spectacular. I liked him better at Crobar the last time. Everything else was cool though. I liked that first track and any of the hard hitting ones. I can always do without "Time of Our Lives" and "the Other Side" but those were expected tunes to play I know.
The question now is: Was it worth $40?
I paid $20 plus the $4.50 fee back in April. It was definitely worth that though.
Damn. Oh well.
What was that first jammy he played? Shit was ill... best track of the night.
I was too lazy and hot and not in the mood to crowd surf to come see all you fellers. Sorrrrrry!

well i got there at 4 and it was sold out and waited almost 2 hrs in the hopes of gettin some tickets before the guy forcibly told us to leave. waited around a few more mins and heard PVD come on prefectly clear, it wasnt very loud but loud enough... got some 24oz'ers and came back and danced for 3 hrs with a couple hundred people outside the fences.. i actually had a great time, the track selection was pretty weak though, i loved Time Of Our Life though...... obviously i woulda paid $40 to be inside but despite that and the fact it was free i had a really good time, a good vibe and chill people we made the best of it....

what a sick night
summerstage never a bad event. loved all the choonz he played and the weather was prett cool
crowd was awesome.
I started the first paul van dyk chant

There was a remix of Mint Royale - Singin' in the Rain near the begining.
Yeah... I want the finger on the button track. Badly...
And... does anyone else agree with me that the place would've went totally bonkers if he played Fischerspooner - Emerge (Westbam Remix or Paul van Dyk edit... whatever one he used to play) at around 9:00? I, for some strange reason, was actually expecting it. I was really pumped at that time and that would've totally made my night.
ppl where floating thats how he they where
TO ALL THE PPL I MET AT PVD`S SHOW THXS AGAIN I GOT NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR YA
I WANNA KNOW WHO U GUYS ARE
the finger on the button track is Chemical Brothers - Galvanize.

Wow am kinda surprised that many of you folks dont know "Chemical Brothers - Galvanize"!!! Been listenin to this since Nov 2004...the Original is the best with the Filterheadz mix coming in close second...dont know what mix he played tonite...but was totally unexpected for Paul to spin Galvanize!!!! (BTW, Galvanize has one of the best EDM videos I have seen)
Anyways, as always PvD never ever dissapoints me...loved it...totally worth it all. Yes, I enjoyed more at Crobar though, but PvD!!! Damn.....hes GOD! Absolutely NO. 1 for me.......always!!

I had a great time.....vibe was awesome and got to see alot people I haven't seen in awhile....awesome TA turnout....between all the locals, Michi from Germany, and Toronto crew (Cuzo and your frends.) I really wasn't paying too much attention to what PVD was playing.....I heard some awesome tracks, I heard some tracks that made me wanna puke but overall I had a great time with my friends and that's what matters most.
The live act for 'Other Side' was deff awesome. Good seeing everybody out last night Ill post the link to my pics soon.
wow just got back..was def good night. and yea he started with his own edit/rework of chemical brothers - galvanize..was bad asss.i been to all the summerstages and i still think last year took the cake. definitely nice seeing every1 and hope to see you guys sept 2nd for digweed at spirit
