Review... COTTAGE WEEKEND with the TOTA @ NADA'
full review to come later... but honestly, an amazing time...Thanks Nada & Ali & DAN for making this happen.... Good times, great people and Trance.... nuff said...
Got there around 4 on Saturday afternoon, listenting to some choons courtecy of MR TRANCEGROOVES!. Tried to sleep in the car over there but Fahad driving my car didnt help at all... NOTE TO SELF, for the 1000th time DO NOT LET FAHAD DRIVE MY CAR!!!
The party was kickin and it just got better from there.....it was by far the best TOTA gathering for me. Met so many of you people and actually had a conversation with a few of you... well at least the sober ones....
The DJs ROCKED!! I cant name a tune if my life depended on it so I am not even going to try....but it was great music...
Hung out with Jen and Tyler most of the night....the highlight of the night would be Marty driving to the cottage at one in the morning and getting lost on the way, and getting there around 5 and the fact that he drove by the street a few times... NUTS! bro... its called MAPQUEST!
Over all, 10/10
Just thought about this....With the amount of drinking and etc activites going on.... so many things could have gone wrong but didnt...so kudos to Nada & Ali for doing it RIGHT!!

Friday night was mediocre (probably just the frustrated DJ inside me talking there.... but I was pissed)... but Saturday night was off the hoooook!
Moving downstairs was friggin awesome!
Party is still going on in Collingwood, just gonna sleep for a bit, then it might be off to the Beach with 15-20 cottage casualties. Then tonight is party at Motorcycle Lounge!!!!
I can't feel my legs, de-hidrated beyond believe, and i'm sure if i move too quick, i'll break apart. But i wouldn't change a second of this weekend. too insane for words.

This weekend was unbelievable!!! Once again HUGE "THANK YOU" to NADA and ALI for amazing job organazing and keeping everyone happy. You guys rock!!!!
Both nights Friday and Saturday were awesome, ton of dancing drinking, partying.
On friday we got wasted early, all that vodka put me and Tonia down around 2:30 am. Getting down from the top level of the bed in the middle of the night to get to the washroom was fun, felt like mountain climbing....
Saturday night: what an idea to move the party to the basement, felt so underground and the vibe was off the hook!!! Hopefully the guys will manage to put that ping pong table together....
It was pleasure for and Tonia to meet, greet and party with all of the TAs. Cannot wait to see those pics.
I am surprised my ass is not hurting after having a stairs slide from 3rd to 2nd floor, boy that was bumpy, lol
10/10 for the music, thanks a lot to everyone who span those amazing tunes...

As some of you did not know, I am a TA since 2001. I did not post much in the last year (everything i can think of posting is already posted), but I spent decent amount of time on the forums. It is just unbelievable how the community grew in the last year.
Cale just got back... I think he kind of died mid-conversation over MSN... someone might want to check up on him

First of all, I cannot thank Nada and Ali enough for allowing us to use the place, and organizing most things - your hard work is way past any gratitude I could begin to express.
I'd go through everybody and put a little anecdote in there but it'd take me all week.

Just wow. This was the best weekend in a very, very long time.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, EVERYBODY. This is why TranceAddict is the absolute best community out there. You're all mindbendingly great people.

it was good to get out of the city for a while and "relax" in a diffrent setting other than a club environment. good times, good friends, good tunes, and holy fuck alot of good drinking. it was good to let loose and leave all my worries behind especially after getting into a huge car accident and totalling our car. much needed and much enjoyed. thanks nadda (sp?), ali, and dan for all the hard work put forth. things couldnt have went any better.
the djs kicked ass, but i am tranced out now for a little while. the surprise of the trip was hearing rj tear it up this morning. he laid down a killer set and had everyone moving for the entire time he played. cant wait for nats bbq.

First cottage experience of me life and like OMG w0t a gr8 time i had. Nada Ali Dan and everyone who pitched in to make this weekend happen THANKYOU. Fahad and Haris thnx for drving me arse there and back. Special thnx to all the TAs that were there, you guys made this weekend just a fantastic memory. To all the new TAs i met, my pleasure hanging out with you folks and gr8 to meet ya lot.
Music was just too good. Thnx to Aaron and other guys for playing my records lolz u guys just know how to get the crowd jumping.Even tho the whole time at the cottage spent was just awesome but for me the highlight of the weekend was the drive to and from the cottage lolz with Fahad and Harris and then also the convo out on the balcony with Jen and Harris. ummm my fingers hurt now from typing so will write more later ....

I've got a lot of stuff to do, but had to post this so that everyone can see it...
I left a pair of dark wash jeans in the basement I think, someone spilled beer on them and I thought I threw them in my bag but when I unpacked here they weren't there. If anyone's picked up an extra pair of jeans with buttons on the back pockets, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! I just bought them

I rolled up with my friend kate, her friend cori and sarah. sorry about her friend cori, shes kinda iffy lol, good thing she passed out so we didnt have to deal with that anymore lol.
we got there about 1:30pm roughly, and got lost like 2minutes from the cottage haha frig! everyone was on the balconie chillin, soooo many hung over people from the friday hahaha, then alot of them went to sleep. I started getting into the drinks soon after.
This entire weekend was just a blast. It went over better than I expect it to. just fackin amazing! i KNOW everyone had a friggin awesome time and thats the best thing! You gotta love the partys like this, everyone hanging out together and becoming closer friends, wicked wicked!
I'm a massive hungover wreck haha, and for sure i'm not the only one. so many drinks everyone had hahaha! hilarious times! apparently I feel asleep all over the cottage at different spots lol! I woke up in one of the basement rooms, walk out thinking i'm on the second floor where I THOUGHT i fell asleep, and people are dancing and RJ is spinning hahaha! friggin wicked!! it was like 8am!
dannie! thanks for helping us cook chicken wings and stuff lol! and me breaking the lighter cause i steered my drink with it, then it all of a sudden working again lol! sean! chicken bones! lol!!
the djs were nothing short of amazing! fackin sik sik beats all the time, everyone totally into it!! and thanks to all the djs that spun! your all fackin awesome!
wtf was with all those bees??? someone would book it away then the bee would come after me! hahaha. everyone ducking and running all the time lol!!
the food was awesome! everyone sat down to dinner like we were a family or something! so wicked! tryed sushi for the first time, and its pretty good! the potatos were awesome!
i dunno what else to say right now other than this weekend was fackin AWESOME! thanks everyone for helping make this so amazing, glad everyone had a good time, and we will all do this again for suuuuuuure!!!!!

myself and Arek managed to drink all the beers and got pretttty wasted before the tow truck arrived
funny story is that prior to deprature one of my friend mom had a perminision that something was gonna happen and begged him not to go, well he didn't go, 45 min later above happened, F***king cars I tell ya

What a fucking awesome party. I died. I should be dead right now but I had to thank Nada and Ali big time for being such gracious hosts and Dan for all his efforts and the facking shizznit TOTA DJs that rocked da house.

Nada and Ali.. you two truly are the greatest! Thanks to you in arranging the cottage for us and having all that wonderful food prepared for us as well among other things. I love you both and can't wait to do it again
Dan.. again, well done with the organization of dj's.. you certainly are the man and I guess a new party planner as well (with some help on this one from Nada)
all the dj's did an amazing job.. lots of great tracks played... lots of good times, great convos and even better memories!
On another note.. I somehow managed to loose my sleeping bag even though I never used it once this weekend... so if anyone happens to have an extra sleeping bag they brought home with them.. could you please PM me and let me know..
Also.. Nada seems to have misplaced her AVB-Shivers album.. so if anyone can remember seeing it or if it was picked up by accident if you could please let either one of us know, it would be greatly appreciated

Alrighty, time for a real review...
I had an uber amazing time this weekend. I've never been up to Collingwood so I didn't know what to expect, but it's almost better that way, I think. Pleasant surprises await those who seek nothing!! :P
Anyway, Aaron and I drove up to Ajax for his gig at The Spot on Friday night, took us FOUR AND A HALF HOURS to get through the weather traffic. We tried to go around the 401 on Hwy 7, but it ended up being so much worse... We finally got there, listened to some tunes from Robben and Endgame and a battle with the three DJ's (good job, boys) and then took off around 1230. Got to Collingwood around 2 ish, everyone was hilariously drunk. I think the funniest thing was when I was meeting new people for the first time, I'd be like, "Yeah, I'm awishabear on TA" and they're all "OOOOOHHHHHH!!! You're that singles thread girl!" LOL Someone remind me in the future that those kinda threads are NOT good ideas...
Anyway, I didn't end up staying up late on Friday cuz it was just so tiring being in the car for so long... crashed around 330 I guess, woke up at 630 when Jamie came to bed and proceeded to take over the matress :P (PS buddy, you do snore...) Was one of the first people up on Saturday after the guys went to breakfast, sat around, enjoyed the morning peacefulness cuz I knew it would be the only quiet all weekend. Around 10 Nada got up and we cleaned up a little, the guys got back and Aaron started a set to wake everyone up (really good one too!) After that it was just a matter of finding a drink and keeping your feet moving. PROPS TO KKEFKA for kicking ass on the 'dancefloor' ALL FREAKING DAY!! I wish I had that kind of energy...
Fell asleep around 4 cuz I was toasted (partly the alcohol, partly getting up sorta early), got woken up just in time for dinner but I missed the sushi S'all good though, I'm glad everyone else enjoyed it.
So many people started showing up in the late afternoon/early evening, it was so great. I LOVE hanging out with all the TA's, everyone's so AWESOMELY cool haha! Everyone was looking out for everyone else while still having a great time. True TA spirit right there. I got kinda bummed out later at night, I think I was just overrun with stuff going on.
Really great to meet so many new faces, TA's or not. I gave out my MSN to a lot of people, not everyone, but I want to keep in touch with as many people as I can, so just add me if you want!! You'll find my addy earlier in this thread.
Must say a great big thank you to Fahad for that awesome massage... I swear I'm never getting another one unless it's done by you LOL!

You guys are the best people for organizing, running, sharing this amazing experience with everyone. Few people have the patience to deal with so many drunken hooligans lol!! but you guys did an awesome job. We all love you for it!!
So when's the next one?
