I would very much so like to upgrade to sumthing better than wut i presently own (numark cdn 88) and i was lookin at sumthing along the lines of either the denon 3500 / 5000 or the numark cdx

ive heard alot of pros and cons about both the cd players, but i want some feed back from the ppl here

mk2's are too expensive lol so if u cud recommend n e thing else or ur views on the players above plzzzzzzzzzz do so

800's are around $600 they're just like the 1000's but with some features less

stantons are $300 or technichs $800

It depends whether quality vinyl emulation is important to you, or whether you just want to play cds

If you want to have a spinning record like vinyl and it be fake like that, then the 5000's are nice (I have them). The platter and slip matt both rotate if you want. They are not equal torque to the 1200's obviously but you can adjust the torque via a rubber band the denon dns website helps out with that.

I have a pair of 5000's. they are nice, id give em an 8-10 overall. I love the push and hold buttons, something the cdj's dont have

cdj - aren't all compact cd players considered cdj...not only the pioneer?

IMO the belt-driven platter sucks, I haven't done the rubberband mod, but I heard from the hardcore denon fans that it only increases torque 10-15%, which still would make it nowhere near anything like vinyl. Plus it's only a 7" platter

i completely agree ^^^ but i hope the denon s3500 is gna be cheaper than the 5000's ... i would assume so but they seem better than the s5000's
