[OFFICIAL] US Open 2005 thread

i'm not sure how many people watch tennis or care about it, but the Open starts today with qualifying rounds at the USTA today. the main draw (what is seen on tv) starts next monday on the 29th, and that's when my run as a ballperson this year starts too.

The Open is FREE this week. i can't guarantee the tennis action is top notch, but it's a good way to hang out, enjoy the nice weather and pay for really really expensive charco- i mean burgers.

anyway, just wanted to give you guys the headsup!

not sure how nadal will do because i did his second round match last year where roddick just destroyed him. but another year, hopefully better results. nadal just needs to work on his manners

i am so ready.....i got awesome seats this year from my brother in law that works for Citi-Group....2nd row behind the players....opposite side of the TV camera angle.

I'd say pretty good....i went to dinner with her last week and then for a walk through Central Park after she won the New Haven match...and she told me she is looking for a really level headed type of guy that loves trance music.....so it;s a good thing you told me you are interested because now i have someone to offer her....i will PM you with her number tonight

no intermilan's talking about my getting her number since i'll probably have best chance of getting close to her

I think i am really rooting for Agassi this year...the poor guy jus wants one more slam before he calls it quits....

Also Federer is Swiss and he is the greatest Swiss dude since the Swiss Miss girl....So Federer all the way Roddick seems real cool though I like him like how he comes on PTI defending the game etc. Nadal I dont like dunno why though!

absolutely love tennis, been playing for 6 years.

Federer I definitely see making the finals. Although Nadal did win his first hard-court tourney @ the Canada Masters, I just don't see him doing it on such a fast surface. If Roddick's serve is on, watch out for him. Hewitt is always tough, he's a fighter.

If Safin can stay healthy, he can make a legit run also.

ya but Federer and Roddick both were out in Canada...and i beleive Hewitt and Safin were also...basically all he ahd to deal with was Agassi.

haha yeah he's a baby, but him and agassi are probably the most fit athletes on the tour. Hewitt is just full of energy.

Federer didn't play the Canada Masters. Hewitt was injured and Roddick was upset. Agassi played a couple 3 set matches before losing to Nadal. I love Agassi but the man is all done
