cdj 800 and cdj 1000mk2

Ive already got an 800 however im going to be purchasing another cdj very soon, but i cannot decide whether to go for a 1000 or an 800, i have noticed sometimes the pitch is not the best on the 800 and the 1000 feels a lot better, i do not scratch just beat mixing, is the 1000 worth the extra money?

Especially if you don't plan on scratching. 800 or 1000 would be a big waste of money in this case.

yeah definately recommend 200.

If only the cdj-200 had the vinyl mode and a platter...I'd still go with the 800 or the 1000 if you have the money.

Why if you already have an 800..go with a 200? They have a different feel. The 200 has a smaller platter, is a smaller player and doesn't have nearly as much to offer as the 800 or 1000 MK2. The 800 is well worth the extra $50 to $100 on an 800. It just doesn't make sense to have two different players, one a digital vinyl emulation turntable (800), and the other as a standard cd player/mixer (200).

you could sell your 800 and have 2x 200s and use that money you saved towards a better mixer or songs or better yet an efx unit!

Or just get another 800 so that you are using the same model CDJ (easier to go back and forth with, etc.)

It comes down to what you want to do with your CDJs and personal preference, if all you are doing is mixing, there is no need for an 800/1000.

lots of valid points guys, ive got a djm 600 at the moment and 2 x 1210's , but having thought long and hard ive ended up ordering a 1000 mk2 because i just think i will regret not having spent the extra cash, gonna sell my 800 and get another 1000 eventually to, i tried out the 200 today it didnt feel much different from a cheaper numark deck i used to own so wasnt to impressed
