POD2 Tracklist...

I know this isn't the first topic about POD2, but I haven't seen another on here about this supposed official tracklist...

http://www.nettwerk.com/cd.jsp?cd=4091

^someone on trance/nu linked to this page, it claims it is the full tracklist for POD2. YET, all the samples appear to be of the complete tracks (which never happens, as it makes it so so easy to rip the whole cd before its released ).

Also, there's a distinct lack of John Askew, Marcos, Nu Nrg (save the tune by 1 half of Nu nrg). Also his new Timo Maas and Dino Sofos remixes dont appear on it. I cant help but think its fake, yet a t.nu contributor says he's been sent a copy (I assume on promo) and that this is the official tracklist.

The PVD site itself still hasn't revealed the tracklist so I dont know why they would allow some webstore to do so (if it is a store, I have no clue...)

Can anybody "in the know" confirm or deny this is the correct tracklist? (I'm pretty dissapointed if it is, although I haven't ehard it yet)

I assume this is the correct t/l, amazon.de has the same..

Posted by scAza on Aug-24-2005 12:53:

I see, when I checked "amazon.com" it had no tracklist...

All these POD2 threads. Almost as bad as all those ISOS 4 threads.

oh come on, there's been about 3 Ive seen including this one

OMG no askew What should i doo....

yea the tracklisting is right, people have the promo's

Posted by Tim Shady on Aug-24-2005 18:02:

Hmmm, doesn't look that brilliant tbh, although I seem to remember PVD himself saying that a couple of tracks (namely Interia - The Chamber and Modulation - Sky) would be there, and they appear to be missing. So that makes me a bit suspicious, although he might just have decided to replace them with 'falling anywhere' and 'closer now'

Well i'll defo' be doing a "try b4 u buy" with this

Posted by Reactic on Aug-25-2005 12:01:

dino sofos new?

Tracklist and samples of POD2 from Nettwerk site are real.
You can easily hear PvD exclusive tunes there, for eg. Close Horizon or Dallas Superstars - Higer remixes.
Furthermore, for POD2 Paul licensed almost 100 tunes,it was imposible to put all of them on 2CDs (there was even gossip that he even wanted to make 3CD compilation), that's why many mentioned tunes aren't on final tracklist.

isn't that supposed to be Gerry Cueto - Messages?

was...

The story is that Solange contacted me to "cover" Messages about a year ago to squeeze more royalties out of their track while helping me promote myself as an artist. The contract was lost when Scully (aka Solange) moved to his new house, but he recently found it and it stated that the artist must remain Solange for 10 years, and since the track is from 1998, 10 years hasn't passed.

So as of now. It is Solange - Messages (Gerry Cueto 2005 Mix), and the reason I wasn't listed as the remix in Politics of Dancing 2 is because Paul doesn't credit the remixers in any Politics of Dancing series, since he says that because he reworked every song on the albums, he's the one that deserves the final credit as a remixer. For example in POD2, (Rank1 remix) is not listed as Mr Sam - Lyteo and (Whiteroom Mix) for Filo and Peri - Closer Now. I still dont' get how editing a track can be more credable than remixing one, but hey he's Paul the big superstar DJ, and I'm Gerry Cueto the little producer guy. His decision is far superior than mine.

I wish Scully the best of luck, and now that Solange is back on the map again, hopefully he'll play better gigs than the residency he has now playing Top40. As for me, I have to make that "hit" original track to break me in the scene. That's the only way. Remixes and covers aren't a guarantee. I have plenty of original material, only time will tell, which one gets picked up to be a next big "hit". This has been a learning experience for me, and what has been done is done. Time to move on to the next project.

Wow, how arrogant can you be? That just made me lose a lot of respect for him. Whoopie, look at me I added my signature kick-drum that I put in every track I produce and now I'm not going to credit the remixers who actually did something with the track.

Pathetic.

So basically you've spat your dummy out because your name isn't going to be on the cover.

Pretty much. Whatever happened to being in it for the music? As pointed out in various other places, it's a blatent rip off of PvD - Connected anyway.
