ROBOTS + AIR 50 present THE HACKER Wed Aug 31st @ Table 50!!

Following the massive success he found with Miss Kittin, Michel Amato aka The Hacker became one of France's most sought after electronic artists. Certainly one of the most talented and innovative French artists, The Hacker makes his own music in a classic Detroit style with Jeff Mills in mind and drawring from early influences Electro (Kraftwerk) to New Wave (The Cure and Depeche Mode).
Remixing for the likes of Mark Almond, Fisherspooner, Air, Nizer Ebb Caroline Herve aka Miss Kittin, Kiko and Alexander Robotnik, Millimetric & David Caretta. Working with labels International Deejay Gigolos (DJ Hell), Goodlife, PIAS and Turbo amonsgt others.
Come and join us for ROBOTS return to Table 50 and back to action after a nice break. Collaborating with the team from Air 50!!

Flavorpill.com spotlight:
"While his compatriots in Daft Punk first grabbed headlines with their neo-disco sensibilities, the Hacker (aka Michel Amato) remained in relative obscurity, voraciously soaking up his native Grenoble's rave scene and honing his production skills in both hardcore and classic Detroit styles. However, his collaboration with Miss Kittin on 1997's cheeky "Frank Sinatra" blew up in 2001 and went on to make Amato's name synonymous with the coming electroclash fad. That retro-obsessed sound's high profile may have been short-lived, but Amato's signature rubbery beats, new-wave handclaps, dark electro-pop, and saw-tooth techno have thankfully outlived the genre they helped spawn. Joining him tonight after a monthlong hiatus, Robots duo Nick AC and Dennis Rogers resume warm-up duties behind the decks. (JJ)"
