It's actually the smell of safrole/a really potent-scented MDMA intermediate. MDMA doesn't actually smell like that, but a lot of pressers either don't clean their product properly when they put it into pills or add some safrole to make it smell authentic (some people also put safrole into fake pills to try and sell em more easily).
