The Flirting Game

So last night at my friends birthday get together, a guy i had met a couple times before had came with a girl i know and her boyfriend..
so this guy is adorable.. totally cute, hella funny and he and i have great conversations.. so last night..i started flirting with him a little more then usual and i then realized that i may kind of like this guy in a way a little more then a friend.. so here i am flirting it up.. which i have to admit i'm pretty good at... so suddenly.. he starts flirting back MAJOR and that is when i freaked out!i started rambling like an idiot.. making stupid jokes and often i had to respond to him with " ummm can you hold on a second?" and i would run into the house to get some pep-talk from two of my guy friends in the kitchen.... but man i totally couldn't do it! it was almost as though i had forgotten how to play The Game!!!
i'm freaking out about this!
i think i've lost my technique!
have you guys ever had a dry spell when it comes to the Flirting Game?? and does it last forever!?

Nikitha

i've had the same problems with girls, what i did was start talking to many women at work outside etc, slowly got the hang of it, although all them are good friends

Flirting is overrated.
Just talked like a normal human being and take your cues based on how the converstation goes (or not).
If they're interested, you'll know

flirting is only good when touching is involved.. which eventually leads to rubbing.

Why....

But flirting is fun

Unless you take it too seriously and choke up and forget how to relax *ahem*

Haha, sounds just like every other girl under 25 - saying one thing and meaning another, and giving the people they like a hard time as soon as those people appear interested.

No offense, but I think that goes under the "immature" column, not the "rusty" column.

Flirting is an awesome game. I wish I could give you advice, but everyone has their own style. You can't try to use someone else's technique, or it will look forced. My only suggestion is keep practicing. It will come back.

haha, flirting or not, the game is always fun.

Especially when you score.

Haha, sounds just like every other guy who's bitter because he doesn't get it j/k man, I agree with ya, it shouldn't be the way it is

To her credit, she wasn't giving him a hard time, she was having a hard time herself. Probably overpowered by his abundant wit and charm

I have never been good at the whole flirting game and on top of that I am completely clueless if someone is into me.

I hate to say it, I find that to be true. Once that 'touch' barrier is broken, you can tell things are going somewhere.

Mind you, there *is* such a thing as too much. :P

Dog Running

Flerting is fun, totally! I love it.

But I do like to eventually get down to business and stop playing games and have all players involved lay down their cards so each person TRULY knows where the other is standing.

Posted by Jer on Aug-28-2005 02:13:

bwahahaha.

Frottage.

Can't say I've heard that one.

On the subject though, I'm convinced I've lost my once razor-sharp edge.

Posted by dance2dabeat on Aug-28-2005 03:38:

man I suck at flirting. I am too shy...and I blush too easily.

Flirting has never been my thing.
