FL studio and Guitar

I own fl studio 5.0 and used a cheap edirol GM synth for nylon guitar tones
I made a chord and used the strum feature.
it actually sounded somewhat convincing
has anyone else tried this?

I actually used Plucked in one of my older tracks. Except I made the track before the strum feature existed (FL4) so I had to do it all manually! For FL users, the strum feature is pretty useful for both guitar and piano and really any other plucked or keyed instruments. What would really kick ass is if they let you add a bit of randomization to it, like the MIDI filter in Cubase - maybe they'll introduce that in version 6.

I suggest you try Guitar Rig if you haven't already. It's an effect not a synth, so you need a semi-convincing input for it, but it really does an amazing job. If you give it a clean guitar sample, it can model all kinds of analog guitar/bass equipment, like cabinets, amps, reverb, overdrive, distortion, wah pedals, chorus, phaser, compessors, etc. It's one of the least-known and most underrated plugins from NI.

And no, I don't work for NI or anything, it's just one of those plugins I keep coming back to every time I do a guitar
