flying into miami..where should i stay etc?

Well a friend and I are flying in for TIC in Florida! What hotel do you think we should stay at? Thinking to spend about 100-125 a night on the hotel. Also, what other things besides Tiesto are there to do in the area? I've never been. Thanks for all help guys!

Try the Hard Rock Hotel, thats something to do and not even getting to your car, other then that, hit up the beach or something else, plenty to do in the area

people swim year round, basically..

and the weather in oct should be ok... I think hurricane season should be over by then too
