thoughts on pio djm 707?

so...

anyone own and/or used one of these bad boys before? ive touched it and every thing and it feels nice overall but was never able to use it in action. its bigger cousin, the 909, seemed to be ok but i think ive had very limited real experience w/ it. any thoughts?

i plan to be pairing this up w/ 2 CDJ200s, and perhaps 2 techs in the future. i'm concentrating on pure mixing but i want to scratch too (i know the 200s suck for this but that is another topic.) if they arent so good in ur view whats a better mixer in the same price range?

thanks guys!

From what i've read on the futureproducers forum, the 707 is a kickarse mixer in it's price range. Some say the fader is as almost good as the Rane TTM56, and they'd get the 707 if they didn't have enough for the Rane.

There really isn't anything in the same class in the same price range. They were originally supposed to sell for about $700.

yeah and the DJM-909 was suppose to be more then the 600.... but we see how long that lasted, but im glad that pioneer is offering such a wonderful beginner mixer... it seems like a lot of the people that have it are VERY happy with what they bought, and they its worth it because though it 'lacks' some 'bells and whistles' people like to see... but they take all that extra shit and put it into quality...

Yeah, they dropped their product at the wrong time, or overestimated it's popularity. When they came out you could still get a Tascam XS-8 from Guitar Center for $150.
