Whiteroom - Someday (Terry Barker Remix) [Full 128 Kps]
Hi Chaps, This is the follow up to Adagio For Strings and my unknown track that no-1 replied to because it was about 15meg
, never mind...
Well see what you guys make of this one, im starting to improve on percussion IMO but still a little bit more to learn.

Realy nice m8. Better than "Adagio for strings" remix I think. Nothing bad to say about this one, maybe the arangement could be improved a little bit. I never heard the original so this looks like a brand new production, not like a remix to me. What software do you use? I could use some tips. I use Reason 3 (or I'm trying to use it LOL)
Cheers!
Hi djsphere, thankyou for your feedback, Yeah the adagio for strings remix was "percussion wise" "roughly put together" and currently is still not finished so look out for the new "clean" version. I dont know how old someday is tho. Im a FruityLoops user unfortunetly howver i used to be a reson user but that sits in my drawer now, i like the power of vst, Reason 2.5 was bought for me but never mind...
If you need any tips, PM me and i will c wut i can do for you...
Terry
imho this is a very good remix, much trancier of course as the original mix which I like more to be honest.
Actually the buildup is good, you used a lot from the original Whiteroom track but tried to focus to add a lot from your "style" as well and that's why I like it.
I would say that if you work more on the main synth and make it a bit "stronger", this would be a really awesome uplifting remix.
best regards and keep up the good work,
Gabe
Nice Track Terry...Well mixed/produced
Thanx for all the feedback, im happy too see people enjoy my music
Terry
My gf is a huge fan of the original, so I'm well aquainted with the it
Nice snip of the melody at the start
When the beat drops away at 1.40, the lead feels a bit dry. Could use a filter on it or some delay it to keep it interesting.
Like it how it kicks straight back into the beat. No slow arse buildups... nice
The strings at 2.20 are great and deserve more prescence imho.
4.00 feels like a very sudden change. If your going to keep it that way rather than a slow introduction, try and emphasise the change some more.
The saws after 5.20 feel a bit weak to me. Would be alright if there was a main melody playing, but there isnt really much going on at this part.
Otherwise a pretty nice remix. Good clean sound to the production and nice personal touches throughout keep it interesting.
Hi Axolotyl, thanx for the feedback, its wired but my GF loves the tune two, i think im producing girly music
Terry
wohohohoho hoooow .... what a remix .... highquality ......nothin to say .... perfect in my opinion .... your well working on this tune
Hi Jaggalo, Thanx for your reply, im happy to see you enjoy my remix also.
Terry
It starts off good, but i don't really like the square lead sound.
Also i preferred the bassline in the original, this one i don't like as much.
Also i noticed the delay on the bass is panned a bit, this is a bad idea because apparently if low frequencies are panned on a vinyl it throws the needle off when you scratch.
I like the slightly detuned pads.
Overall this is a good attempt, but i think your missing some things like atmosphere and percussion, it doesn't really get much energy until after the breakdowns, maybe add those toms to 2 or 4 bars during the intro.

Indeed the intro sine-wave melody is a real keeper. I love it. Makes me feel like playing a few video games.
Anthem burner this is... those high strings really keep the NRgy alive and powerful.
The filtered mega strings are really cool. Wish they'd release themselves from their filters more after the 3rd breakdown. However, there's too much headroom being taken up by everything else to really do that.
Excellent work here.
Review while listening:
- Clap is a little "harsh", it only has high freq.
- Bass is nice
- Hihat is good but a little hard
- Good sine (melody)
- Don't like the second melody after the 2nd minute (little break)
- Suddenly break, melody is coming in. Try to work work more towards the break
- The saw on the background is to weak
- Like the arrangment, conga's are nice in the end
Good job, but there is room for improvement
Thanx chaps, glad you like the mix
Re: Whiteroom - Someday (Terry Barker Remix) [Full 128 Kps]
Really liked this one terry nice one
Cheers Craig K, Im glad you liked it too
I really like it!!
You have done a brilliant job with it, however imo you used a bit tooo much of the original!
Cheers
Better quality please... 192kbs
Pretty nice Terry, cool thumping kick and bass! Not too fond of the squarish sounds though, they seem a bit overdone in the track... Some transitions seem just a little abrupt as well. Other than that, solid work I must say!
Cheers,
Wim
PS: didn't know you turned to FL Studio? Though you were a Reason man
