what's going on today? i know someone has to know something. a friend of mind said jason bentley was playing somewhere today, but she's being a bitch and won't pick up the phone. any ideas?

I'm going to the Cabana Club..to see Mark Lewis play.

I am feeling a pool pary would be nice this weekend.

Not sure if there is a web site. Its not exactly a traditional pool party in that sense. $500 minimum for tables and loads of fake hollywood types. I'm not sure if I'd go back. Although Mark's set was quite good.

yeah the guy at the door was being an ass...so we didn't end up going. my girlfriend and her friend went up to ask how much it was and the guy just said 'oh come in don't worry about it'. then i showed up and i think i stepped on the guy's penis because all of a sudden it was $15. so i said

"im not going to pay $15 to hang out with a bunch of fake hollywood assholes and see jason bently spin when i can do that for free at the vanguard"

and the guy was like 'well there's gonna be about 500 people here before the night is up'

"yeah but you guys are playing hip hop....bye"

That's why I dont bother going to alot of film industry parties etc. Loads of fake people, fake body parts etc and of course the music is usually utter rubbish. I had a good time with the company I kept during this party though, and the vibe got better when Mark went on, which begs the question of why they didn't just do that all day long instead of going from these bizarre presentations of Brazilian dancers, to live reggae, and then to dance music. kin nutters.

This Sunday it's DJ Skribble, Grant Plant, Mark Lewis, and Balaio...

Wow. Amazing Lineups. Good to see that Toronto is geting events like this. The clubbers up there are some of the best in the world imo.
