Anyone heard of Discovery? (discodsp)

was definately wanting to get Vanguard, Toxic (by Maxx claster and albino.

Do I really need DiscoDSP's discovery after all that or would it simply be unneccssary

IMHO Albino 2 and Vanguard is much better than Discovery. I think it has a cheesy sound. There is a NordLead 2 edition of Discovery that has some cool patches. But, go for Albino and/or Vanguard.

Discovery is already a Nord Lead 2 emulation.
And it doesn't sound cheesy. I like it.
Not easy to program but some great and orginal sounds can be done with!
Go for it.

Here is a demo of a soundbank design by the guys from vengeance sound http://www.soundwizard.de/Sounds/ww...l%20Schleis.mp3

I agree with every man, isnt the most easy synth to program.

Fuck them both. Get Reaktor 5 and THIS.

Infection v2.0

Reaktor may be more expensive but its an all in one solution to sound design.

An my ensemble gets better with every version. Updates for vanguard add like, 2 features. I add 20 or more things every few days. Can't beat that. Oh and did I mention is sound FUCKING AWESOME?

Sorry, blatent self promotion. I sold vanguard after getting reaktor.

In my opinion Discovery sounds much better than Vanguard. Its probably the second best synth I've used next to zeta. But yes, a bit harder to program than Vanguard for sure. The FM features on Discovery are great and the filters kick much arse. Vanguards just tend to hiss out in the higher frequencies in my experience.
