I just paid 119.6 for gas

And I'm not talking about Ultra 94 for my car either...I'm talking about regular 87 octane for my dad's Tracker

Boo-hoo there's a hurricane, now lets rape all the consumers.

These guys will think of any excuse to jack the prices up

95% of the gulf coast's oil production has been wiped out. They rape you for a reason.

Posted by monishb on Aug-31-2005 06:58:

same here full tank cost me 65$

Posted by PartyHarlequin on Aug-31-2005 08:02:

I just saw that... I really wanted gas but I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much. I'll chill with the quarter tank I've got right now.

1999 Expedition Eddie Bauer (123L tank) = $147.11 empty to full...

its automatic, before midnight i got gas for .95 ,one hour later it was 1.19 for 87 and 1.30 for 94

I work at a station, however you wouldn't believe how many customers come in to bitch at me for all the pricing.. It's like "ok sir, just give me a second as I recalculate the price for you since it's such an inconvenience & because I am authorized to do so anyway.."

..idiots

anyway, it'll match europe soon enough, so even at a dollar, i think it'll get higher.

edit: there is a midnight price which is usually an avg of the day pricing.

I remember when gas prices were only 50 cents! I know they are calling for in inflation but c'mon they only raise gas prices because Gas is a must have thing and they know the people will buy it!

Posted by kabelicious on Aug-31-2005 13:28:

We were at $2.65 US per gallon (1 gallon = 3.7 liters) and it has jumped to $3.30 US per gallon of 87 overnight here.

Posted by Soundwerks on Aug-31-2005 13:37:

its 115.4 here in montreal

I cannot wait for there to be a gigantic protest flooding the streets of DC with millions of unhappy Americans demanding his resignation.

"Uh oh, the peasants are restless, Dad, what do I do?"

VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

aaaa NO!
because the only reason Europeans pay more is that their government taxes them more. Brits pay more tax on gas then the actual cost of gas.

The price per barel is the same worlwide, so its not like we get cheaper oil but it helps to be an oil producing nation.

Posted by DJ_Ampz on Aug-31-2005 14:41:

The guy on BT was pretty animated saying that is just the oil companies gouging to make money. yeah 95% of the gulf is closed but its onlin likr 5% of what we use here....so if my math is right. (0.05*$1) + $1 does not equal $1.20

Meh, why do i complain, i dont drive. Just got my semiser bus pass yesterday

Oh yeah, its his fault

Lets not blame under inflated prices, and stupidly high consumer demand over the last 30 years. Don't forget about the people buying SUVs, and pushing up the average consumption of gas, and increasing demand.

This has been a long time in the making.

It's 106.2 here now, I'm trying to live on my quarter tank, but I'll need to fill up before tomorrow night (headin to KW)... I hope it goes down a LITTLE BIT by then... I think the most I've ever let myself pay is 102 or something. If it's higher than that, I try not to drive. I let my sister fill it up lol

Posted by zokissima on Aug-31-2005 16:00:

It was announced last night that most places in TO viscinity would be at around 115 or 116 today. Freaking RIDICULOUS. I wonder if it'll stay like this.
