Romi presents Defiance - Forgotten Time (final 96k)

Hi,

I'm finally ready with this one. Made in Logic and a couple of vst's. I personally think this is one of my finest to date. Allthough i also make more uplifting tracks i prefer this kind of dreamy and laidback trance tracks. Well, i hope you also like it. Only a 96k for now, sorry. Final version is up now.

The buildup could be improved some, feels a tad too long, but seriously, the melody in this one is totally devine! I utterly loved everything after the break. Very sweet and lovely. Sounds fresh with the electric guitar!

Also on a production note, you could crank up the higher frequencies a lot to make it sound sharper. If you want I could throw it at my powercore card mastering plug to fix it for you

Really good work with this one!

Thanks for the reply Drik. Remember, the mp3 is only 96k, the wav sounds a lot cleaner .

The electric guitar is indeed a nice touch. Extremely subtle fromt he beginning and moving things wonderfully.

Listened on headphones:
The guitar noises are heavenly. The pads themselves are fantastic, and I have nothing to say about the higher freqs - I prefer this to be squeaky clean .

Dreamy and melodic... uber relaxing, yet somewhat danceable...

very well produced and some lovely sounds. im not a great fan of the guitar. bass and everything else is spot on.

the guitar just doesnt have the same sophistication of the rest of the track. melody is nice.

i recon a distorted 'rock' guitar would work better, add a double delay to it to keep it sounding dreamy.

thats all id change.

Hi Romi

nice crisp sounding percs, but maybe fractioanlly overpowering and could sit back a touch, nice funky yet trancey bass line. Nice use of FXs

Nice break, good guitar noise. Very Dreamy melody. Melody is good but not too memorable though.

Sounds well produced.

good work

As always Romi again a splendid track with a lovely build up, that guitar sound is great. Build up is nice.

Break as always very good, dreamy. I do have to say all your leads sound alike. a faster lead in a track would be nice for a change YOur notation is mostly the same. But still the melody is lovely and I just like the overall atmosphere in your tracks.

The mastering is not as good ad Dream Machine. The sound is a bit muffled here and there. A bit more clarity would do this track a lot of extra good. Dreamy tracks need to be clear and crisp

Overall great track mate!

Thx Menno . Improved version is up now btw, same link. Oh, and the reason for the track not being that clean is the 96k bitrate . The wav is crisp and clean.
