Kanye West Wants Rodney King Part II

Today on NBC's hurricane relief show rapper Kanye West went crazy. Although I do belive in the comments where he said too many guards/army etc are in Iraq and overseas and couldnt help the comments in which he said it where enough to stir up this very un-easy nation even more.

Here's the vid
http://www.thatvideosite.com/view/619.html

What you guys think? Makes me hate rappers even more

Also Mike Meyers reaction is priceless

mods delete the thread i had in the music discussion at me

and then i look at what category it's under and it's under 'woah'

HAHAHAHAHA! OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH GOD! HAHAHAHAHA!

I love how he says it so matter of factly.

Comedy Gold here.

Its about time someone said it and I am glad that Kanye West was the one rapper who did. Everything he said is true if this would have happened anywhere else that was heavily populated by white people the government would be bending over backwards to help them. This is fkn BS that the American Govmt is taking this long to help these people. It would probably speed things up a bit if we weren't tied up in the Iraq War and if our National Guard and Reserves were out doing what they are supposed to be doing and that is protecting us within the nation rather than serving in Iraq. Whats even more sad to me is that people are watching this shit happen before their very eyes and not doing nor saying anything about it. We need more people like Kanye out there.

i cant belive he said that and they didnt delete it, but he's right bush sucks and i dont think he cares for any1 who's bank account is under 10,000,000

why the hating?

+1 for kanye

Posted by djkoolaide on Sep-03-2005 05:19:

fuck kanye.

i used to respect him but i've read shit about what he does to get his beats.. stealing samples and shit from other producers, and just how stuck up and fucking arrogant he is doing shit like this.

fuck kanye.

Posted by BTG on Sep-03-2005 05:24:

i'm sure he has good intentions, but that wasn't the right time or place to protest about black power and shit. because there's white people who are getting fucked too. Its not selfish, but somthing like that.

Saw it when it aired live...I was speechless for awhile. I thought since Mike Myers was there it was some sort of comedy bit, but the look on Myers face told me it wasn't.

His statements are so true...Kanye gets my respect.

After, they showed footage of Bush with some of the victims of the storm. All he would do is listen to the child, hold her, pause, and look up at the camera for the shot.

Bush you cock.

Sadly, this is true of most of the rap industry. (I do have a fondness for people such as Dre, however.)

That was incredibly unexpected.

Kayne West needs to improve his public speaking abilities.

I think he got his point across though.

Mike Myers has some of the best reactions. He looks like hes agreeing with Kayne, but the look on his face says 'Oh Fuck.'

Wait, I have a comeback: at least I know how to delete the threads I make. Go delete your other thread!

Well, considering that Mr. West just slapped a big negative PR bullseye on his chest... yeah, I wouldn't want to be standing next to him when he said something like that, either.

He was clearly emotionally unstable while he was speaking. He looked like he wanted to come to tears at times.

Yay for Internet videos!

Posted by tribu on Sep-03-2005 05:54:

There's no such thing as negative publicity

He was clearly upset by the images he saw, but there were coherency problems. He must have had some idea of what he was going to say, but he looked like he just threw whatever he was thinking out there.

He had a good excuse, knowing that any and all affiliates might cut him as soon as possible and he wanted to say as much as he could.

Man, its crazy how rap producers steal samples and shit..

electronic producers would NEVER do such a thing

Posted by flavdave on Sep-03-2005 07:24:

Good for Kanye. I hate when people think that celebrities shouldn't have opinions.

Posted by |cEbLu3 on Sep-03-2005 07:31:

Rasta

well he certainly been about black power lately, with this and his new single about conflict diamonds. personally i think its good that he's speaking out about his opinions. Isn't this what your country is supposed to be about, free speech??
