[Trance] Coldplay - Fix You (Emphased Reality's Fix) [web-edit]

Hi ppl, dunno if you know me. I'm a progtrance producer (check), this is like the 3rd track I post here (! not the 3rd track I made !), so maybe some one rememberd me. lol

Anyway, I made a remix from the new Coldplay track; Fix You. I'm not gonna post the full version yet, but I think I will sometime in the futere, so for now a web-edit.

Enjoy!

it seems like the beat is off from the actual coldplay song. it sounds also like you just tagged on a beat to the actual song.

also i dont like the ride sound you got.
not original and needs work.
sorry

sorry. this may seem harsh. but i dont mean it to be. im just kind of biased towards coldplay remixes. but i think coldplay is decent so i wanted to check out your track.

I know the beat and song aren't 100% sync, but that is impossible, the original is live played, which means the speed from the tracks keeps changing, hard to get it at 1 bpm, beside that it gives it a 'live feeling' imo.

Ahh, so you remixed this too.

I guess this works on the bare grounds of renovating an indie track into a dance track. However, I'd agree with the above guy's comments, the beat doesn't quite fit in some areas... and it is pretty much just a trance beat layered on top of the original.

The beat is certainly energetic, but it sounds a bit messy on top of the rest of the track.

You certainly have skills, but since you haven't really done a lot to the track in this remix, it's hard to know what exactly to credit you for. Keep it up though!

The general idea was to make a trance version from the original, I've only used a leadstring, beside that, percussion and a bassline. I never tried to remix it, only to make a playable version.

You should have told that you ripped some of this from the original And by the way - why do you choose to sidechain compress this? It's so damn ugly

It's ulgy, but it also very trendy and gives it power.

I quite like it - the off beat at the start is quite good i think - sounds effective.

The main bit - nice

Could do with some work i guess but overall not bad

whats it called / how do you get the effect of the fading (or whatever that would be called) that feels like its sucking you in on the offbeat in the main part of the song?

ps i use flstudio 5

Same as Benni Benazzi and Eric "the ripper" Prydz uses. Sidechain compression.

Strachan Remix is just too top notch in my mind to make a comparison.
Really, Col closed the book on this remix!

i've been listening quite a few times to this remix now
it gets stuck in your head. if it's the original or the added beats and bass, i don't know, but it's good nevertheless
good job
