Talking Killers - Mr. Brightside (Blank & Jones Remix)!!!!!!

They dropped their brand new remix of Mr. Brightside here last night... all I can say is UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!! Has a little bit of everything, from breakbeats to an massive buildup! I've been waiting for this tune to get a proper trance remix and it has finally arrived. No word on when they are releasing it, but I hope it is soon. So good!!!

Cheers,
Terry

Guy Ornadel played it @ Godskitchen, Birmingham last Saturday and the crowd seemed to love it, not my cup of tea though I'm afraid (I am trying to like it, honest!).

I don't mean to be presumptious, but going by Blank & Jones' recent work, i doubt this is better than Jacques Lu Conte's Thin White Duke Mix. His remix kicks ass!

I heard them drop this live a few weeks ago...its good, but Thin White Duke remix owns it...

And they're like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can teach you,
But I have to charge!

yeah doubt it'll be better than the Lu cont mix, although will be interesting to hear what they did with it

Posted by retrobyte on Sep-05-2005 05:42:

am I the only one that liked the Lindbergh Palace mix?

I mean, Jacques Lu Cont's is awesome, no doubt. but for circuit play the Lindbergh one is pretty damn good too

Posted by Ghostface on Sep-05-2005 10:14:

sample would be good.

Posted by guster on Sep-05-2005 12:07:

sample or a liveset with it would make me smile. : ) i'm sure we'll hear it in the next week or so if nothing else...

Wish I had a sample, but do not. The Jacques Lu Cont remix is unbelievable too, but for trance, this remix is wikkid!

Thumbs down

The Thin White Duke remix wipes the floor with this sorry trance remake...

Haven't heard this remix, but IMO the Thin White Duke Remix is probably one of the most overrated tracks of the past year. I mean its a classic example of a remixer simply beefing the beat while adding a bassline. The synth patterns, guitars, everything is the same as the original. It sounds like a typical radio pop song. I'd rather listen to the orignal, a lot more energy authenticity with the real-life sounding drums and guitars.

I think it's an ok remix, but there's nothing wrong with this one either, variety is a good thing to have

always liked B & J though not really this song BUT after hearing the sample, i really do like it very nice, a big improvement on the original song but i havent heard any other remixs.
