Equipment hire

Not sure if i'm posting in the right forum with this, but this applies for the UK, so here goes..

Well i'm trying to organise a party for a group of mates just in a local hall, and was wondering if anyone could recommend places to hire equipment: sound system and lighting. I live close to north east london and areas around essex and hertfordshire.

I was also thinking of hiring a laser too, but wondered if anyone knew how much these are to hire, and any recommendations on models available, that would be great!

Thanks

Aley

I'd hope Wicked Neo sees this, he's from essex & will probably know somewhere, that aside, have you tried stuff like yellow pages etc ?

Just looking at some sound sytems now, would 2500 watts sort a 200 people party? or is it better to go for more power just in case

2500 sounds a lot for 200 people.

Oh dear, better cross that of the list then, is there anything half decent that would be effective or any similar lighting to a laser?

If you're around essex, try Cosmic electronics, theyre in shenfield, 01277 216078, ive used them quite a few times for smaller stuff and they've been excellent, their leaflet says they do up 50kw of sound so i think they'll have enough.
