Hello there ...

I have a question: How do you produce the drums for your tracks?

I have Cubase & attempting to use battery from NI. How do you do this if you don't have a midi controller? I wasn't sure want to do because I couldn't get the midi editor open for the midi track. So, what I did was, I made battery the midi imput for the track and recorded a few hits from battery. Then, I started to build the drums using the midi editor.

Am I going about this all wrong? Is there a better way with these tools. Or should I be looking at something else all together?

add your drum sample to the top left hand square of battery, now create a midi channel and select the output as battery, now select the pencil tool and draw out onto the midi track, now select back to the cursor and double click the midi you have just drawn out and write some notes on C1
