It makes me laugh when people ask this question ["What Do Women Want?" Edited due to FF's undecisiveness on thread titles] . It's assuming that all women want the same thing, which clearly isn't true.
At the end of the day, everyone's different and has got different things to offer the right person. What's the point in saying "what do women want? I need to change my this, that and the other" when there's no doubt lots of women out there who'll want exactly what you've got. You've just got to get out there and meet them.
short term: a rich popular dude who's handsome as hell, who'll prolly treat em like shit
long term: the funny sweet dude who's really there for them

They want someone who will kill the goddam spider.
They want someone who will leave the last cookie/slice of pizza/Coke/Beer for them, even though they don't really want it.
They want someone who ALWAYS drives.
They want someone who doesn't mind pulling a chewbacca-sized ball of hair out of the drain plug in the tub.
But the biggest thing they want is for you to guess at all this shit. It's no fun if they know that you know.

the way to my heart is through music, drugs, and food... 
seriously tho, it's so much more than just "what do women want"... i mean i've always tried not to have expectations for what "type" of guy i'd want to be with, because every good relationship i've been in has just pretty much just been totally spontaneous like "whoa where the fuck did this come from?" meaning i was falling for them before i even had a chance to think something silly like "ok, this guy scored a 78% on my list of compatibility factors" ... i think it's more about the connection you have with someone.
i mean for me, what it really comes down to is that i want to be with someone who makes me feel like the happiest girl in the world, someone i can have endless fun with, someone who makes me laugh until i cry, someone who understands me fully and doesn't judge me, someone who is my best friend... just someone i can be myself with.
