Bedroom Monitors

Ok, Im just looking to kind of broaden the horizon if there is anything to broaden.

I want to get a pair of Event TR8XL monitors for my bedroom, and I know they are awesome speakers...

My question is, are their a pair of speakers that are better than the Events for the price they cost? ($549/pair)

Uhh...Well I have at set of Events and love them. Very good speakers for the price. With the money you save you can get a sub.

I dont need the sub, way too much power for an apartment. My neighbor's definitely wont like it.

yeah, or u could do what i did, and get cheap 2.1 or 5.1 channel speaker and subs... works fine for me...

i'm thinking of buying another set of 5.25'' subs as well, so that's 26WRMS of sub power, which is definately enough. especially seeing as one is enough....

Im not down with just getting anything, I either get something really good or nothing.

But I have thought about getting a 1000 watt home theater system for my gear, but I have no room for it, plus Id need to get an amplifier for it.

well, I guess some of us have a job, and some of us just live off social security ....

Actually, Im taking out alittle extra cash in my student loan. But I do work too.
