My wife is an RMT. You've picked a really tough course! That being said it's a great career... she loves it. I hope you're prepared to give up your social life for two years, the amount of stuff you need to learn and clinical hours you need to get will take a very high toll on your time. It's worth it though. If you need any help at all let me know!

Best of luck!

Thumbs up

Education is by far one of the best investments one can make.

Kudos on making the decision.

My ex is taking the same thing. Good luck with the schooling Kelly...in a few years Cribby can get free massages?

You ever need a gineau pig, my back can take much punishment

Posted by dance2dabeat on Sep-09-2005 18:22:

yeah RMT's that I have talked to all say the same thing...they love their job.

and that is seriously important to me as I hate my job and I cannot go on like this forever. It's not a way to live a life being so miserable.

I do plan on saying goodbye to my social life for sure. I will miss it...but it will be worth it in the end.

As much as there are days that I wish school wasn't there, in the end you realize the worthwhile investment that it truly is. Congratulations on your decision - I know you'll do awesome!

+10000

Problem is that you won't understand the value of an education until you have one, as I always say.

Posted by StereoPrincess on Sep-09-2005 20:03:

that is great news kelly.

so does that mean you quit your job?

KELLY!!!

No one can take education away from you so you've definately made the right choice!!!

Remember if you need any help with the anatomy, I'm a 4th year Kinesiology student, will be glad to help you out!!

Does this mean you'll be there to extend my dancefloor marathons by giving me massages when I begin to cramp up at 8am or so?

Glad to hear it, Kelly!! All the best to your continued success in your new path!!

Much respect on making the decision -- motivating yourself to actually take that first step and make the necessary changes is, IMO, the HARDEST one.

You're off on the right foot -- awesome! I wish you much success.

Good for you Kelly. I decided to go back to school this year as well, it still hurts to think that I'll be in school for the next 4 yrs of my life, and that my social life as well will suffer. But as RJ said it is the best investment one can make, lets hope this does come true!

Yeah school
