theres a holiday inn, a travelodge, a premiertravel inn and a malmaison all in the city centre which will be about 20-30 min walk from the metroradio arena or a quick taxi ride. They are probably the best bets. There may well be ones closer but i have no idea how cheap they would be.

No point paying that when travelodge rarely charge more than 25 for a double/twin.

You're a bit of a toff really if you think travelodges are shit.

What do you want a champage breakfast and Ferrari complete with driver to take you to your destination?

Posted by jeny on Sep-13-2005 18:44:

lol toff. actually i dont think i've stayed in a travel lodge.

Can everyone stop being so touchy about travel lodge please, have you all got shares or something?

Anyway it doesnt matter cos there arent any rooms available (so their sits says)

I was nice enough to list alternatives

Posted by Simcut on Sep-13-2005 19:23:

remember it'll be sunday morning which means the metro's wont come on till 7 or half 7 i think (i'll check).

simcut's got my spare bedroom by the look of it, but i have a brilliant camp bed (cant tel diff between that and normal), a comfy two seater sofa, reclining padded parker chair, and ample floor space to sleep on in my flat if anyone else needs a free place to kip or leave their stuff at.

Posted by Simcut on Sep-19-2005 15:33:

joy!

so who have we got confirmed so far then?

really looking forward to it, should be a good crack

some people from judgejulesarchive.co.uk are interested too, they are a real nice bunch of lads... Bjorn (aka Chris who looks like Ferry Corsten, I shit you not!), Tim, bigsteve and the rest....

btw, does that mean we will be stuck in Newcastle city centre till 7am or so until the Metro starts up? what we gonna do in the meantime?

Did this Bjorn goto Love from above at Columbiahalle in Berlin 2004? I was talking to this guy in an England shirt who looked a spitting image of Ferry Corsten. I was trying to tell him he did, but either the soundsystem was too loud or his English wasn't great because he wasn't understanding me.

go to the casino for a full english breakfast, only 3

either that or sit in the metro station for an hour.

or could book a taxi from somewhere else in town. probably cost about 10 back to mine.
