Virus TI

Im thinking of buying one, but i dont know the price is crazy and the Virus C is much cheaper, will it be worth the wait + the price over the virus c

sorry for this stupid topic lol, just getting some advice

Posted by Icone on Sep-11-2005 11:16:

Price is definately sky high, I would very much prefer a Virus C if possible

Posted by Sean Walsh on Sep-11-2005 15:18:

I'm going to get me one of these if it ever gets released.

Posted by DjGeMiNi529 on Sep-12-2005 06:21:

if i had the money i'd def get the ti
especially if u use software cause it can be intergrated into your sequencer which is hot, no troubles to get your sound in

Virus TI and C will sound about 90% the same. All your C patches will work with TI. I love the TI interface, having played with it for a little while. It should be released soon but prices won't go down on TI anytime soon, as the demaind is high and there is a huge number of pre-orders.

Overall, I'd say get Virus C if you're on a tight budget. Though TI is definitely on my "must have" list and with any luck, I'd be getting my own soon.

BTW, I'll be listing my Virus C Redback (Limited edition, siged, black Virus Indigo) on ebay today or tomorrow, let me know if you're interested and PM me with your best offer. I'm in US/PA

Posted by Phantax on Sep-15-2005 22:00:

Are you sure that the Virus C patches will work with the TI?

Posted by Storyteller on Sep-15-2005 22:49:

of course, TI patches are even backwards compatible up to the virus b (maybe even the virus a?)

Access homepage states The Virus TI Line will be available worldwide beginning October 3rd, 2005. Is this true?

I think this could very well be true, my Ti has been in back-order since january and i've been checking the Access-Music homepage on a regular basis.

Until now they never changed the official release date they proclaimed last year "Available from December 2004".

So this is finally a date set in the future to lookout to ... just hope my order was soon enough, and that i'll be with the first batch when they are delivered...

Woohoo

I've been on backorder since Mar 2005 so I hope this date is true.

Very excited......

Finally here

well....

The Virus TI Line will be available worldwide beginning October 3rd, 2005.
for those of you that didn't know already

Nova music called me telling me they had a shipment from germany INC.. I canceled my order as DSP based synths dont interest me as much anymore if i need the virus sound i will purchase a C as stated earlier... Other than that i know a few synths i want to spend 2300 on..... Remember the instant you purchase a new virus the value drops... Not a wize investment but if you plan on it being your only investment its a smart choice as you can right a entire track with its 80 voices and multi outs and individual effects per part.... Amazing synth but i have like 5 vintage boards infront of me and i dont really need 80 voices of virus...

I do.... I totally understand what you are saying Frost but this is going to be my first real synth

If I had the choice of going for the C or the TI...it's silly not to go for the TI with Virus Control.

Not long to go...

More power to you I own a xpander, jupiter 6 prophet 5 v2.1 and a pro one...I love the virus sound i just cant justify needed 80 voices of it.... ATM im trying to hunt down a jupiter 8 at the price i want... Then after that maybe a moog. But what i really wanna do is start a modular...

Ahh, that made me horny.

Honestly, these DSP synths are very nice and all, but it's getting to the point where it's hard to justify their outrageous prices when there is software that can produce very similar sounds. Yes, hardware has knobs you can play with - you can always just get a MIDI controller and tie its knobs to a software synth.

The old-school analogue synths, on the other hand... ah man, I would eat my dirty socks for an OB-4 or an ARP 2600. I don't think I'm quite ready for a Moog modular though.

Posted by Reactance on Sep-22-2005 09:08:

I cannot even afford a descend MIDI controller,Exachange rate is weak where i live !
But hey i have VST`s that does the same thing !

Oh mano, let the saving begin.

Just listened to the Vengeance demo for the TI. Holy shit, some insane presets in there.

if its the incubation v3 tht wasn't specifically designed for the TI, its for the C but u can use them on all of them models
