thanks for closing the thread

so the sander roll call thread had 1400 plus hits and was one of the biggest threads...but a bunch of fags must of complained to coup about hmmm i dont know what and now its closed....that is pretty fucked up we have some children on this forum, who cant take heat and complain to mods...



pretty fuckin gay if u ask me...so that being said...




please dont lock perfectly good threads just because they are controversial...that is part of the fun

1. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, artist or common folk, but you have to be mature about how you present your opinion. If you dont like the artist or DJ being promoted, just dont say anything.

2. This might be 'tranceaddict' but obviously this place is a safe haven for all forms of EDM, and anyone using the name of this website as a way to bash some other genres that gets recognition in here is ignorant.

not presenting an opinion kinda defeats the purpose of having one in the first place Opinions are what makes the world go round. If we don't share them, you'll be subject to some heirarchy full of opinions you don't agree with. Plus if we all stuck to the facts in this forum, it would be a very boring place to be wouldn't it?

I don't know where it is obvious that it is a safe haven for all forms of EDM. Maybe there's a disclaimer I didn't read, but with all things aside... Gerry, one thing I found somewhat funny is that you sort of went on Sander for saying that Tiesto plays kiddi music or something like that, and therefore you came with an argument that artist bashing trance should be criticized here and such ( sort of what I understood ).. but you bash on Tiesto in a worst sense.. not tryint to attack you directly, this imply's to everyone, Im just using that one comment as an example.. know what I mean?!.. Other then that, I think that locking the other thread was kinda eeehh.. a lot of people had responded to the event itself besides the controversy.

well I like tiesto's track selection... and he's an average DJ... personally would listen to the locals here more, but with that said, he's not in any condition to be number one DJ of the world In my honest opinion, when there are DJs that can do his job better than he can. It's just a popularity contest, so that's one of the reasons I may go off on Tiesto from time to time. and how is that bashing Tiesto in the worst sense?

You are entitled to your "honest opinion" but Tiesto is Tiesto and WAY ahead of the pack. You can use any parameter except for "my opinion" (to which you are as entitled as anyone else) and i promise i'll match you on that.

In my "honest opinion", there is Tiesto and Armin, and there are the REST. And the gulf keeps on growing.

I agree :~ -- and Gerry,,, I thin you just need to shut up with the whole trance vs. house/prog - it gets annoying!

at the end of the day that thread was very immature and rather pathetic at times. people resorting to typing in size 94 and in bold to get their point across.

im all for intelligent, heated mature discussion, but im not having a thread which looks like a bunch of children just lost their dummy & thought they'd tell everyone.

You seriously need to reread what I wrote, I never said you cant have an opinion and you shouldnt present one, but do it in a mature fashion.

seems to me every ban and closure is from coup. neo, at times closes or bans, but coup has his eye on everyone. feels like "big brother" is watching us at all times. he is not even from florida. when are we going to get our own mod?? i wouldnt be surprised if i get banned for critisizing "the governing of coup". remember coup, you're only an interim government/moderator. let the florida forum play itself out, unless a blatent breach of the rules has occurred, not just because some people are argueing.

I understand your opinion about that rating, but before that you would have house DJ's or progressive DJ's in the realm, so if your so on to supporting trance then you should be happy there's at least a trance DJ there no?!.. this days its kind of hard for the trance genre.. Im just talking right now cause Im personally tired of Tiesto been #1 each year.. but good quality music expands beyond trance.. usually when one likes electronic music, one is open minded, meaning, you like trance and other genres of EDM.. but ofcourse thats not the case with all the people... I just see when good DJ's are good without me having to like what they play

Dude, seriously. He's been doing a really good job of keeping nonsense and crap threads from running rampant all over, whether it be COR or FLTA, and you KNOW COR is a fuckin' insane asylum. He's the most active MOD I know of on here. Things have improved greatly since the split and his appointment as MOD, so just drop it, and I mean that in the most blunt non-offensive way I can say at the moment.

he's an ACTIVE mod. its his job.

because no one can behave like grown ups and be objective about which topics to close because "they're my friends". Coup doesn't play favorites and props to him.

i agree, coup does moderate very well...the point of this thread wasnt to have peeps start bashing on coup but rather let it be known that people actually complain to him to shut threads down because they get owned in them...that is what i think is stupid...to coup keep up the good job otherwise....thanks

this post is so selfish i dont even know where to begin to reply. First of all, most the bans and closes do come from me yes, u want to know why? out of all the mods in total, less than half are on daily, the two main two are me and neo, which is why most of the stuff comes from me.

I spent an awful lot of my time when it was a joint forum finding out the opinions of the members, and doing what the members wanted. I think we can all agree the result has been worth it. Now yes, i was only meant to be a temp mod, but you all took a shine to me and i enjoy modding here. this is the only forum on TA i actually enjoy modding. This zaps more of my time than COR and MD. Core and MD i dont read anything anymore, i dont have time, i see something, i leave or mod it, and move on. Here i read every new post of every new thread, which takes alot of time. Now if my local forum mod put in as much effort as i do into this forum id be chuffed to bits. Most members on this site had an opinion on the mods, you have a mod, yea hes not from florida, but has kept up with every single thread from the start. So what im not from florida, it doesnt take alot for u lot to start bitching, so maybe having a neutral figure isnt a bad idea. Im not anyones friend, i dont hang with certain people - if i recall is was that very situation in the last mod that prompted the previous forum riot.

Aside all that, who do i give mods to? you name me one person who isnt biased, will always be fair, mature, is on all the time, doesnt lose their temper, doesnt spam, and i'll give them mods. Out of all the people the only half candidate is DarkAngel, and while hes pretty much got what it takes, he spams alot. The spamming he does isnt bad, but mods cant be closing shit threads when one of them is posting in them. This is how DA is, im fine with that, but i dont want to have to change someone with how they act on a site to get them to do something they didnt originally sign up to do.

And to be quite honest i really dont think you're in much of a position to start calling the shots around here, you are one of the people always involved in petty squabbles, mainly with Patmagroin.

One more thing, i received in total 5 requests to close that sander K thread, so why you feel im taking charge, others feel im keeping order. While you and rZo obviously feel hard done by, most others are glad to see it closed. Im also quite pissed how uve all said what a good job ive done around here, and to have one decision like this which i was acted to do put on a public stand like this - im pretty pissed about.

Ok lets see Coup or scott Coup or scott, LMAFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Fuckin lil skinny fag scott over cool coup, yeah coup rocks, u dont like him, leave, go over with the loser himself, this place is alot better with Coup and we FLTA'S like it that way

id really like to see who pm'd coup to close the thread...this isnt kindergarden ffs, its a message board of mostly adults(well by age that is), and not little kids on the playground who can comlplain when they dont like what others say about them...either way in mot hard pressed so u put it, just wondering how all the sudden threads get closed...

and what is ur problem with Coup?

If u don't like it go back to the CORe. Coup is part of the family now. He has done nothing wrong. He closed the thread so we can start a fresh one with less hating

Coup wouldn't ban you for critisizing him.. He warned all the ppl in the CORe and mario was asking for it. He said so himself on an IM to me. So he got what he wanted and i'm glad coup granted his wish.

i guess im just going to shut up now.
