Invisible Grin Australian Trance??

Heres one for ya,
anyone care to post some Australian artists, who are they, what style...........

whats the best Australian Trance track?

Posted by stamper on Dec-19-2001 11:27:

To be honest i dont think i have ever heard an Australian trance track. The closest we got was Koala - Australia. Oh and Gouryella is an Aboriginal word or something.
Ur probably the best trance producer we got Pete!

cool, thatd be great. I am also looking to have a year from study next year, make some money, buy some equipment, and produce my own music as well. What equipment do you need Pete and how much approximately does it all cost. I really have no idea on this subject.

Quench - Embrace the Sunshice
Pendulum - Coma
Will E Tell & Simon Digby (Wet Music)

Not sure about Quench Being Australian though, thats what i heard... I know Pendulum are, and Will E Tell & Simon Digby are, they make Trippy Techno music... U should of heard of them?? Melb boys..

Posted by Kia Kaha on Dec-19-2001 13:46:

errmmm ... what about that Yothu Yindi remix from a couple years back? Who did that? That was pretty trancey ...

Posted by Renegade on Dec-20-2001 01:18:

^^ It was done by Peace Division: more tribal than trancey.

The best Aussie trance track is, without a doubt, Freefall - Skydive, written by Anthony Pappa, an ex Melbourne boy made good.

Oh, and pommy bastard Barry Gilbey may have helped him a bit as well.

Also, I hear that Cass (from Cass & Slide fame) is an ex-sydney boy, plus then you can chuck in all the other semi-stars like Endorphin, Kasey Taylor, Sean Quinn, Peewee Ferris, BeXta and a few other trance-producing Aussies to realise that we aren't doing that badly.

Erm, Kylie Minogue anyone?

Posted by astroboy on Dec-20-2001 04:25:

I think Pappa's in Melb on the 23rd

Posted by Fraggle on Dec-20-2001 09:41:

wow, yeah i hear quench was aussie too

i like that one, embrace the sunshine

err, not trance, but hey...heheheheeh, who else likes aphex twin?

i just love their videos and the music is interesting too

hmmm Peewee ferris has many good tracks out, pvd played one in his homelands set of 2000.

Xcabs is from melbourne , im pretty sure,,,, he has many tracks out ,,
HMC from adelaide has a few nice tracks out,, his older one "Cum on" not trance really,, . oh and DJ daveB from tranceaddict has some nice tunes in production .. ahh Rob little aka HMC's brother has a few out but more of the Timo Mass style deep house . this guy can really mix well i saw him at an old club in adelaide cant rember the name but everyone was loving it hes one guy who has not gone the hard house way like many other adelaide DJs have.

Posted by DJ Darchinova on Dec-22-2001 08:13:

hahaha
yeah.. there is a Yothu Yindi Trance Mix of one of his songs..
i saw it on WinMX

Quench are an Australian band, looking at the old 'Dreams' single from 1994 -they where released on Sirus music... somewhere in Victoria.

Decoder are good, I have a couple of tapes (yep, old scummy cassette things) from wayyyyy way back, probably more ambient than trance though.

And who could forget Itch-e & Scratch-e who did some some great stuff abck in the early 90's on the Koo album- Sweetness And Light (great song) Paulmac has been around since goodness knows when with Lab being his first real project I can remember.

Other good DJ's I know of but dont own any of their stuff-
Fractal Glider
Tshinta
Northcore
Psykonaut
Krusty- though I think he does mostly D&B now.

beXta - Questron sounds trancey

PeeWee Ferris - Genesis
PeeWee Ferris - Spaghettification

Southend feat Nik Fish - The Winner is

Yeah, he's a good DJ but can't think of any tracks he's produced. But Chris Fresh (from Canberra!!!) has some internationally recognised tracks (maybe track?) under the name North Atlantic. Also Australian, Brainbug - Nightmare is sort of trancey....Judge Jules likes it

Posted by SpaZmawookie on Jan-19-2002 05:49:

The judge LOVE it!
