Someone to rant to

Is this all anyone really needs to be happy?

After a long day at work, a fight with a friend, or a victimization of fate, is there anything better than a friend to bitch about it to? People generally love to complain, but the more legitimate reason, the better. Someone who empathizes or sympathizes with your plight always (in my experience) makes the situation easier to deal with, and often provides support or advice.

At the moment, i don't have anyone i can physcially (not online) rant to. It's very tough, and it sometimes weighs heavily on me. Sometimes I wonder if I would be happier with someone I could bitch about things to.

Friendship is one of the things I value most in this world.

Now, as far as some one coming up to me and venting goes......

..that's fine as long as it's something to vent about!

I am not one to sit there and hear people whine about the everydayness of life.

Essentially, yes, venting is alright...

...but only if its truly necessary. Otherwise, you can handle it

The only thing I don't like about getting ranted to is that I always want to tell the person what to do (yeah, since I have all the answers ). I have to catch myself before I go "You know what you need to do?"

99% of the time, people (my wife) just want to vent (like you said Tribu)......NOT have me telling them how to run their lives.

but anyways,

there's this dude from my work that's a fucking douchebag. he acts like a little kid but he's like 30 or something, and he says the dumbest shit, and spouts the most asinine stories ever.

so this guy thinks me and him are cool or something, so he thinks he can get away with talking shit to me (in a joking manner) but the thing is, i straight up don't like the guy, so whenever he "jokes around" i get pretty anal. i'd just like to yell at the guy, "DUDE WE'RE NOT THAT FUCKING COOL YOU FUCKING DOUCHEBAG SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU'RE FUCKING QUEER" but that would be rude.
