Gouryella SPLITS UP!

Yes, none of us believed the news when we read it in the trance.nu forums yesterday. So trance.nu mailed Black Hole to get the rumours confirmed. Hopes were still there that this was just another nasty rumor. But hopes turned into tears when Black Hole�s Arny Bink dropped this line:

�I can confirm that Gouryella have split up, and although there will be new Gouryella tracks, Ti�sto will no longer produce them. This is for artistical reasons only, Ferry and Ti�sto are still good friends.�

After the article about Dj Ti�stos album �In my memory� in Mixmag�s November issue where Ti�sto stepped on Ferry Corstens feet by saying �It�s great to show the world I�m not just another Ferry Corsten� many took the rumours about a possible Gouryella split as the result. But according to Purple Eye�s Brian Dessaur it�s not at all the background to the split of one of the scenes best acts.

�Due to the very busy scedule's of Ferry and Tijs, they aren't able to get together in the studio at the moment. This does not mean that there will never be a new Gouryella single in the near future.�

So, trance.nu are sad to deliver the news about the split of Gouryella; an act that has brought us both joy and tears with their three anthems �Gouryella�, �Walhalla� and �Tenshi�.

Shit.

As long as GOURYELLA still lives on I will be partially happy, there is still meant to be unreleased GOURYELLA trax anyways. I'm sure Ferry will carry on the act with his soul as this is IMO the best trance project there has been to date. Maybe Ferry will invite VdM or Michael Pollen to continue the legacy, who knows?

My fuckin' arse, I know people that work 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, 350 days a year, that is piss weak.

not for nothing....but i dont really like Ferry Corsten anyway...LOL.....i think Tiesto should have forgotten this project awhile ago....Gouryella and Walhalla where not the best tracks in my opinion...but Tenshi was a nice track.....Tiesto should start to work with AVB if you ask me....i just never really liked Ferry..i think hes overrated...dont everyone get mad..i just think Tiesto and Armin are better or Tiesto and Benno....he made WAY better tracks with those 2 then with Ferry...i know i am getting attacked for this..but oh well.....

This is funny....because when I saw Tiesto in New York last week..I told him that I am looking forward to the new Gouryella...and he gave me kinda like a funny look...now it makes sense

Just listened to all the trax by GOURYELLA and Vimana, listening you can really only hear Ferry's influence. There is little trademark stuff of Tijs in the work apart from Dreamtime which IMO sounds a lot more like him. I'm sure they will one day come together under a new alias and produce some outstanding tunes. But in the mean time I think Ferry can carry the batton all the way and I think these tunes by the duo sound a lot more like tunes that Ferry has produced but spent more time and effort on than other tunes he has produced. Cheer up peepz, it ain't the end of the world, or even worse the end of TrancE, its the end of the words DJ Ti�sto on the credits to a song by the act known as GOURYELLA.
