Techs vs TTX - torque & pitch slider

Hi'ya all
I have the TTX and I'm playing for the 1st time on Techs. For those who have used both, how do you compare the pitch slider (as in stiff or loose and sensitivity, and increments..I normally have my TTX @ 8%). And how do you compare the Torque (I know mine is stronger, but should I expect a drastic difference?)

I appreciate your help. I've got no chance to try'em before the event....and yes its my first time

I used to have a TTX, now I have Tech's. My experience is that the pitch on my Tech's is much tighter than on the TTX; it does not slide nearly as easily.

The difference in torque was a non-factor for me but, if you use the platter for alot of adjustments it may take some getting used to.

Interesting... my guess was that techs had looser sliders...
I do my best to not use the platter, hence my worries about the slider.

I dont know about which slides easier, but if you have intentions of scratching, than the TTX is your choice, if youre doing this to spin edm, than its up to you which you go with. Some prefer the TTX some prefer the Techs (industry standard).

Honestly, you cant go wrong with either.

I have the tt-500's. Same thing as the ttx's minus the digital display hoopla. Used techniques many times. The slider on the techs might be a bit tighter. Not by much. But the pitch adjustment on the numark's well makes up for that. 10/20/50 LOL I love to play in the 150's...

techs are definitly tighter in the pitch slide. as for torque, how much do you really need? both have more than enough. numarks do have a MUCH higher repair rate though.

i think ive had this argument 10 times already in the end Techs always win becaue of the WOW/Flutter and the +-8 pitch(keeps the pitch tight and accurate) For the TTX's who needs all that torqe anyways, its not like its a table saw?

I m officially going to give the TTX-1 the nickname of "Table Saw".

This thread isn't an argument about which one is better than the other. The orignal poster was asking about touch/feel differences he should expect as he is going to play on a Tech for the first time.

EDIT: I just don't to see this thread turn into another rediiculase flame war between the two brands for the eleventy-millionth time.

i personally found the pitch to be looser on the technics i prefer the ttx.
If ur a good dj u should be able to use any deck anyway it shouldnt be a matter of concern.

the TTX's have a digital pitch slider which only increments in .1% steps, this sucks for long mixing, besides this they are good decks, the differance in torque does take some getting used to when using techs

thanks to all... and yes as Ygrene pointed out, I'm not arguing which is better. I have the TTX and I'm playing on Techs. No other option available. And I've never used techs apart from my very old Sl3300 which is nothing like the rest.

+1. I've played on TTX's and 1200s, and with the TTX's I just get bored after an hour or so. With 1200s I bet I could play a 4 hour set easily

The pitch slider on the 1200s is tighter so it's easier for me to get a more precise mix. The TTX's seem like you bump the pitch slider barely and you end up shifting it by 2%
