Markus Schulz - Without You Near Pre-Release!

Markus Schulz's latest track, "Without You Near" has been pre-released on Armada/Audiojelly!

http://www.audiojelly.com/armada/details.cfm?id=CLHR008

01. Markus Schulz and Departure with Gabriel & Dresden - Without You Near (Coldharbour Mix)
02. Markus Schulz and Departure with Gabriel & Dresden - Without You Near (Gabriel & Dresden Mix)

the 192kbps versions are 1.99, and the 320kbps versions are 2.40 - that's about $3.61 and $4.35 respectively in US dollars. A bit steep, but that's what you get with the pre-release and the pound riding high. Who all is buying?!

Still less than buying the promo vinyl, probably that alone is $12 to $15.00

there is no Gabriel & Dresden Mix. The song is called: Departure feat. Markus Schulz & Gabrien & Dresden and there is a Original Mix and a Coldharbour Mix.

The Original Mix = Gabriel & Dresden Mix

Markus and Gabriel & Dresden do it again. Another amazing track I support!

That's stupid. I wouldn't pay jack shit for an MP3. Why pay for a compressed version. I've never bought tunes online, but is how it all is? I had the feeling that the tunes were huge wave verions and was seriously considering it to complement potential cdjs. If I ever bought tunes online it would be untouched-out of the studio-original wavs. Why pay for the same file I can get on any DC hub I look in? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of playing this on a big sound system (I dont wanna hear yadayada about 320 being good enough. Fact of the matter is compression degrades the audio quality, why get extra)? And why the hell would you charge more for a high quality MP3? Record labels are really dumb. Artists are dumber.

totally overated tune...

they're not dumb at all, because they know a lot of people will drop $10 for two tracks a couple of weeks before the official release date. that's not stupidity, that's smart marketing.

did you hear it live???

i've heard it a couple of times life and each time I totally went nuts

Posted by Cribby on Sep-19-2005 01:45:

I heard it at Labour of Love two weeks ago. It's not a horrible song, but it's certainly not anything special...I think I'd enjoy a dub version much better.

No, its stupidity. They spend thousands of dollars mastering their tracks, then BOOM, they run it on some 12 year-old's P2, compress it to MP3 and sell it in a form in which they insulted a couple of years ago. Call it smart marketing, I call it mass-whore commercialism. Download the MP3 until it gets released, then buy the vinyl/cd/wave file when its available. This is nonsense.
