rave tracks???

i didnt know this...but after looking at some record stores, they have a seperate section for rave tracks? I like the little bit I've heard.

Anybody recommend some good tracks from this "rave" genre? No dj sammy jokes. :X

im sorry mate but ur asking for "rave tracks" but without any dj sammy tracks. that means nothing to me and probably to 99% of the members here, giving examples of the tracks you do like will make things a lot easier

and btw rave is not and never will be a genre

Is that what they call rave these days

Posted by Stanza on Sep-17-2005 12:22:

I think he's talking about Scooter back in their 'rave' days.

Tracks like Endless Summer and Move Your Ass

I think the ultimate rave track would be:

Dyewitness - Masterplan.

But Rave was a genre from 1991 to about 1994.

Speaking of which, anyone have some good recommendations for CD purchases in that style? I mean before jungle and HHC split apart, as in the final few tracks of PvD's June 1992 Dubmission set.

Oh, I forgot. You'll want to get CDs of "The Prodigy Experience" and "Music for the Jilted Generation". Trust me, you'll like.

1990-1994

A VERY legitimate genre and trance owes a lot to it, as do most forms of electronic music over the last 10 years.

I'm sorry, but trance owes nothing to rave.

wrong!

Anyway xstalkrx check out some Dune tracks, like 'hardcore vibes'!!!

Posted by xstalkrx on Sep-17-2005 17:15:

couldnt find that dune track.

what I'm looking for is definately along the lines of Dj Dean - Play it Hard.

I'm looking for some releases within the last year or so that I could still find on chemical records.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Sep-17-2005 17:20:

Well you aren't looking for rave, then.
