i think like 10% of the stuff they do is good. i've liked very few tracks by them and even caught them live at ultra6 and wow did they ever suck.
i can see why people like them, but personally not my style.
how can you sit there and say that some of the PIONEERS of Electro and Bass suck?? lmao...I'd hate to break it to you but some of those cats were blowing up the scene here WAY before you even HEARD of edm or knew what bass could do to the hairs on the back of your neck.
wow it just goes to show how close-minded some people can be.
it may not be tiesto or ferry or pvd or Sander..but Jackal & Hyde (and Dynamix II- who played along side them at ultra) are some of the best and brightest performers of their genre.. and honestly to say that they suck would be like listening to one trance track, and saying that PVD stinks. its just plain stupid.
and btw mel, that track is Cyberian Knights- This is the Sound of the Underground
dont believe me? look up people like Ash Rock part of Hydraulix and someone that ALWAYS reps MIAMI!), J Break, Oz and Storm, Dave Noller (Scratch D from Dynamix II), Cyberian Knights..etc.. and not only are they some of the bigest names for what they do..alot if not all of them are talent that was bred here in Florida.
alot of them are the reasons i collect electro/breaks vinyl

actually. i've known of them for several years and have been huge into breaks for many years. but i'm more of a fan of the nuskool sound coming out of the uk and australia rather than the 95% shitty florida breaks. proggy breaks i also have a soft spot for. there are some good florida breaks, but its too much crap to weed through to find the few good stuff. props to you if you go through that hassle, but i'm not gonna bother anymore.

i just realized its "jackal" and not "jackel." lol. oh well i shit on the difference.
passs
Yeah, in Orlando the worst of FL breaks (which is a majoity, IMO) get played out so much that next time I hear those silly voice samples, I feel like puking.
this is a pretty nice electro/breaks mix. the bassline is sick. if anybody has been to the underground, when u first walk in, you enter an entrance type room. the walls are of brick. and u have to walk through it to get to the ticket booth. you have to zig-zag through this room. it has a great effect, as the brick wall is just thumping, BOOMBOOMBOOM, and as you walk through it just gets louder and louder, and the other elements start coming in. GREAT anticipation effect. when its the electro beat, it excited me even more, like OHHH SHIIITTT@!#!
