VEC and FL 5
For some reason when I load up something such as a simple punchy bassdrum from the Vengeance clubset, It sounds all distorted. For some samples it works though. I really don't understand it.
Here's a sample: http://s49.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1Q03V42W5G4YB0YY4Z9FJV0K1X
i used to have this problem too. Go in the channel settings, and in the "Time Stretching" section, the "Time" knob will be just above the minimum. Put it back to the minimum, and it should sound normal again
thanks a lot
that's what i'm here for

Yeah. It's one of the few obvious bugs in FL 5.
yeah, it took me a while to figure out how to fix it since the time level appeared as minimum already.
Yes, it is a strange thing... Somehow loading up specific samples gets the timestretching knob to go crazy. You can alter it by pressing right mouse button and selecting (none), or just manually turn it back to zero as Static said
this really pisses me off when i need to find a good kick out of tons of samples, then i need to adjust that knob with every single sample, lot of time goes into that
