PVD Atlanta date pushed forward 1 day

Just a quick heads up, the Atlanta date for PVD that was originally scheduled for Thursday November 10th has been pushed forward one day to Wednesday Nov 9th 2005.

Thanks

Idea

I have a small suggestion for Liquified and all other promoters that book acts for weekdays... If at all logistically possible, you should consider booking the headliners for earlier in the evening, around 10:00.... This would make it easier for people who have daytime committments to make the shows..... I'm not going to claim I understand how logistics of scheduling work, but it would seem to me that it wouldn't affect turnout in the least, nor would the DJ's be affected, other than they might get more sleep, before they leave out the next morning.... It might affect how long the opener plays, but in all honesty, none of us really pays to see the opener, it's just an added bonus...
So, if PVD were spinning at 10, he would be done by 12:30, then everyone who works the next day could get home and get to bed...

Anyway, just a suggestion...

i would put money on it that you would get a lot more complaints then praise if PVD ending his set at 12:30. Now if people would actually come out early, like 10:00 pm and have the club filled i bet we could get paul to play 10:30 - close and make it a 4.5 hour set.

now THAT would be SICK!

you dont think advertising a 4.5 hour set would get people to come out early?? if you could verify with paul that he'd do it, and make SURE you get him there on time, i bet TONS of peeps would make it out early!!

I would come out early and I bet alot of people would. That way I could still get my PVD fix and leave the club at 1:30 or 2:00 (if I could drag myself out of there) and not feel so bad about having to be up the next morning!

lmao i dont see hwo poeple go see pvd. so incosistent with dates here in atl.

as of poeple nto showing up? poeple show up @ 11 or 12 because that is when the main headliner comes up. rearly do poeple want to see the opening dj.

dj comes @ 10 poeple would be there @ 10

yea, i see the point... if people show up at ten, then they're gonna expect to stay till 3...lol... there's no way to change that mentality to leaving at 12:30... they'll just want 4.5 hours instead of 2.5.... but, if 12:30 were to be enforced, they'd still come and get over it... you'd just have to explain to them that he's spinning for only 2.5 hours and that's the bottom line...which, sucks, cause 2.5 hours is just a teaser of a set compared to what I've seen that man bring in a 4 hour set.... so, there's no happy solution..

i got a solution, PVD is playing for us tommorow in Los Angeles, maybe we'll see if he's intrested in playing an extended 4 hour set in Atlanta.

damn you for the trickery...

my understanding is that if something is moved FOREWARD... its like FOREWARD on a calander... making this show on a friday, which would be cool....

but no....

another big liquified show on a weekday.... wednesday? hump party?

so much for VIP for PVD....

awe....I'll still be in Las Vegas that Wednesday.....that sucks.

everyone who is a fan of pvd will be there for his entire set. if you think otherwise, you need to know your audience better. If pvd played for 4.5 hours, it would feel more "homey" for him since thats how long he usually plays for in Germany!

i NEVER get to the club more than 30 minutes before the headliner anyways, unless he's a local. People will show up in droves, and 1150 would make a lot more money i bet!

just my .02 cents when he came to ny to play at arc he played on a monday night many a moons ago (11-4-02) now granted he played that previous fri in ny but the fact that he played on a monday nite from 10-2:30 and it was literally a 2 day low key promo for it yet that night it was packed beyond capasity(sp?) place only held 774ppl it had well over 1000 ppl yea it was a fire hazard but eh whatever...point is ppl would stay no matter how long it is (but then again fans have been known to be crazy )
