how much time would u spend in a studio?

i'm taking a music production class in my school. since the class is only 2 hours a week our prof. is letting us the room at our disposal for as long as we like up to 2 p.m. daily before there's a class there and shit. i'm so happy im wigging out hehe

all the kids are black except for my friend who my prof seperated and nowi have a partner who wants to make hip hop. at least he has 3 years of studio experience since he interned and now works for one...no hip hop from me!

don't know what you mean by sequenced music because all music has to be sequenced lol if u mean electronic then this class is for all types of music. because nowdays u use electronics and synths and most of all MIDI for alot of genres even hands on kinda stuff like rock. they teach u to use sequencers and mixers and synths and shit for future classes. after taking this class ur allowed to take diff studio class like advanced sampling and computer music production, soundproof sutdio production and mastering, etc.

If it's a profession studio with everything then just live in there. Set up a tepee & produce music all day long.

It has a Mac, a midi interface board, a korg workstation, an 18 chanel mixer for every station, roland SP sampling, and a JV 880 i believe, a roland MC 900 series (not sure which), along with a 36 key yamaha midi controller. some other shit

some of the stuff in there is a bit old but it has everything u need to make whatever. also, for next semester im planning on taking the advanced sampling and comp production by the time that happens the new software and hardware the school ordered will arrive including a G5 mac, OpenLab Neko 64 workstation valued at like 5 grand each.

I'm not totally sure, what he ment, I'm assuming he ment EDM though.

yeah i gotcha. but ignoring Electronic music production is like ignoring rock n roll. our school is heavily filled with all sorts of media classes and most people are media majors. So to make more money the school decided to expend into diff areas of media, and in the music area they embraced Electronica along with rock, orchestra, jazz etc.
