The "point" of my thread (and, I assume, this subsequent thread) was to cast a differing viewpoint on the closed thread.

Some things obviously never change. Certain people on this board do everything they can to act like they are little miss perfect, and will get defensive to the point of closing a thread when someone points out the hypocrisy of their statements.

Contrary to what the sycophants will preach, the world does not revolve around giving one person compliments. Being unable to address any criticism, and then closing a thread citing off-topic "drama" as a reason is purile.

If one cannot take the heat generated by one's own comments, one should best not make the comments in the first place.

you know, MrS, you're older. more mature. she posted something thinking it would amuse us. she didn't expect to be attacked or criticized. just gave us something to laugh at.

at college there were all these squirrels that ran around the campus. one night one of the frats caught a squirrel and shaved its tail. it never grew back and was one of the weirdest things ive ever seen.

If this was a single occurance and not a long standing trend, I could buy the "sensitive" bit.

It is not an isolated incident. Since the person in question arrived on these boards, that person has taken every opportunity to make themselves the center of attention, and whenever the attention moves away from the kind given by the sycophants, suddenly it is "Oh no I have to run away/lock my thread".

Plain and simple.

On another note:

No where did I see myself called a "fucktard"....but if someone wants to think of me that way, so be it. I am not here to win awards, and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

so if someone is sensitive, they should only be sensitive when it suits the squirrelly dude? if she wants to lock her thread when she thinks its headed in the wrong direction why should that bother you?
