My guess is it's small from what I hear. Apparently they upgraded their soundsystem there a few months ago. As far as drink prices I would think average to expensive!

drink prices are alright, 4-5 bucks a beer / highball. drafts can be cheaper too.

fits ~200 people, with a dj like masiello the place will be packed and people will be dancing in the hallway to the bathroom and in the coatcheck room....not even joking.

sound system is reallllly badass, really tight and crisp.

The Lotus is a pretty small club.. I'm not sure what the capacity is.. I'd say prolly aboot 350+? I can't think of a better place to see Desyn work his magic

As for drinks, a bottle of Guinness will set ya back $6.25

Yes, they did upgrade their soundsystem at the beginning of this year to an Xmax system. The sound is pretty sweet in there, but remember to bring earplugs as it does get LOUD!

Mortyman - dude, you've never heard of Desyn!??! Where have you been?!?! He's done 2 Ess Mixes already and both are verraaay good. He did a Kiss Mix last year. He's done a Yoshitoshi comp, kickstarted the Bedrock OS comp series, and his latest offering is from the Balance series.

And free cds? Interesting.. which comp/mix is it?

Giving away the free CD's has really thrown me, I never heard of him before, honestly. I'd really like to hear him, guess i'm lucky the CD's came my way. I'll check which mix it is when i get to work later

The John Morgan one is a mix comprised entirely of his own productions and remixes. Top notch

JM is also one half of Powerplant, of "Blame" fame .. if you've got Marco V's Ess Mix from last Oct, it's the 3rd tune in.
