BBC frontline football documentary :: Bosnia - Serbia

I came across an excellent BBC documentary about the high-risk encounter between Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia-Montenegro, I�m flying to Belgrade in a few weeks for the deciding WC qualifier so I�ll share how interesting this trip will be.

Serbia & Montenegro Vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina is going to be a cruel game full of hate and prestige. Serbia & Montenegro is playing at home in the middle of Belgrade, Marakana I guess.

It's pretty obvious that Serbia & Montenegro has got the better chances because of the advantage of playing at home. Not many Bosnian fans is going to come into Marakana. It's going to be overcrowded with Serbian and Montenegrin fans that night. Got to say that this game is very important for both teams, Not only because of their chances to go through the qualifiers and reach the World Cup in Germany 2006, But also because of their history and the civil war that started in the 90's.

Serbia & Montenegro has not been in a major tournament such as World Cup and European Cup's since the Netherlands and Belgium was arranging the European Cup back in 2000. Bosnia & Herzegovina has never reached the World Cup or the European Cup since they became a independent country back in the 90's. This is going to be very interesting because of the ethnic background and the hate between those two teams.

Good shit Mirza, a Bosnian victory would put a tear to my eye and a bottle of rum to my face..... 2 bottles if there is a Lithuanian victory 4 days before

About 300 Serbian fans made it to Sarajavo, mostly Serbian bumpkins from the hills surrounding the Bosnian capital.

Regarding the Bosnian support, there�s a charter flight from Chicago to Sarajevo a few days before the encounter, 10 buses are heading to Belgrade from Scandinavia, 5 from Germany, 3 from Switzerland and expect a convoy of at least a few thousands from Sarajevo.

It�s a highly unlikely scenario but the ball is round and football is football. Had you not equalized in the 98� minute against us, it would�ve been a much stress-free scenario altogether. I�ll be documenting our excursion to Belgrade, I�ll pass you the videos if I make it back to Toronto

It's sooo awesome too see those Bosnian-muslims getting angry at Serbian fans. Really awesome, And I hope, From the bottom of my heart that Bosnia loses bigtime
