What the hell is wrong with people??

Dwayne Ready said city police had not received reports of looting but were making extra patrols in areas around pawn shops, gun shops and stores such as Wal-Mart that might �be attractive to the criminal element.� Ready said the department would pay greater-than-usual attention to pawn shops and gun shops after looters in New Orleans raided such stores, leaving roving bands of gunmen on the streets after Hurricane Katrina. Ready said officers had responded to several burglary calls since the mass evacuations in the state�s largest city started earlier this week, but said they were routine calls and didn�t rise to the level of looting. �I think the key element in looting is the fact that those who would not otherwise engage themselves in criminal activity (join in) and believe they will be able to hide in the crowd,� Ready said. �It�s the difference between an unlawful assembly and a riot. Essentially (looting) is theft but I think its when the crowd believes they can hide against the anonymity of a large crowd engaged in the same kind of conduct.� And with the department at full alert Friday morning, Ready said officers would be very visible as long as weather conditions allow. �We have put out the message that we are not going to tolerate looting and we have increased out presence and visibility,� Ready said. Abbott said his officers were also planning to be very visible throughout the day. To the south of the city, in South Houston and nearby Bellaire, police officials said they also had not received any reports of looting.

Dear Fisr3stat3r q question for you.

Iam confused here,whats your take on America?seems like most of the time you try to defend them when it comes to international issue's.
and then I see posts like this where it shows you bashing them.

Omg, you guys can't see in anything else than black and white?! "Either with us or against us" doesn't apply to every fucking thing like you seem to think. Go figure idiots.

exactly the case, things can be right & wrong in many places, and in this case, it's severely wrong, the sad thing is that people even have the thought that they can get away with it in the first place.

The fact that it's happening in America doesn't mean I don't like Americans... what kind of irrational connection is that?

Looters are a bane, regardless of country or citizenship.

I suppose if it was happening here in Toronto, I wouldn't like Torontonians too huh?

So tell me, how is posting about looters, "[B]ashing America"?

Good because don't tell me Canadians don't go all rioting and looting when they never make it to the stanly cup. I was not sure as to where you stood I know you can bash the US governement all you want and I say do that instead of blaming people for not being strong of morals and values such as you. Thats what I would have said before but I am not going to say that anymore.

People themselves do strange things and have some wierd ideas of what they can get away with when authority isn't around; notwithstanding government or country...

I do not believe firestarter was bashing Americans at all, and in fact his entire post was simply a news report off a website.

So I thought to myself, Hardcore Trancer (Being the genius that he is) must be reffering to the title of the Post "Houston: Let the looting begin..."

According to the news article, that's a fact... Not a bash or insult.

Please Hardcore Trancer, go read a newspaper and aquire what god didn't bless you with... Braincells.
