Madonna - What it feels like for a girl (above&beyond remix)

I was just listening to this good oldie
pure class
a&b played it when i saw them in boston on july 15th
it was priceless
when the synth kicked in the place went nuts

they closed with 'satellite' by the way
that night i will never forget

Never woulda thought I would own a 12" by Madonna... but I was wrong

Talking

is it the same as the a&b club 12" club mix?

Posted by Iceferno on Sep-25-2005 19:28:

I've got 2 versions of the A&B remix. One of them has this Radio DJ person in it who says "Doing things girls are not allowed to do" and this version of the remix begins with the Chorus.

I much prefer the other version where there's a big Synth intro then the beat kicks in.

Got it on vinyl in a bargain pack, dunno how rare this is.

Found it a bit cheesy, but then most above and beyond stuff is.

Very club friendly tune though!

Brilliant remix. Like most A&B tunes airs on the cheesy side of life but its undoubted quality

Best thing Above & Beyond have ever done.

I'd rate it alongside Razorfish, their remix of "Epic" and Rollerball - Albinoni as my favourite A&B tune, I don't see how people think it's cheesy tho, it's just how good trance was back then

Without any doubt one of my favourite Above & Beyond remixes and way better then the original version

Posted by DJ-Ande on Sep-26-2005 12:41:

yup quality tuneage.

lyk we excpect from A & B, always banging out da best of trancers

Posted by stamper on Sep-26-2005 12:41:

Madonna chose this remix to be the song that was released in the charts because she liked it better than the original.

Now that says something about how good a remix it was.

yup and then she used it for the video which was banned by MTV for "being too violent"
gimme a break

When the breakdown comes with JP8080 pads the feeling is just huge! Their Fragma - Everytime You Need Me remix is even better.

Yea, I like that Everytime You Need Me remix. But I like the A&B remix of Aurora's "Ordinary World" even more.

What an embarrassment to trance music. Sad state of affairs.

I'd lay that honor to their remix of Ayu - M.

he's right though, alot of things that were considered awesome back in the day, are generally thought of as 'cheesy' by today's 'standards'

Na it was cheesy back then too, by those days' standards. I think my penis shrunk by three inches when I heard that track. ONLY THREE LEFT!...
