Spiritual Trance?

There was this thread a long time ago, but I can't find it..

Can you guys post some spiritual trance like these:

Force of Gravity (Ferry Corsten Remix) - BT
September Rain (Vox Mix) - Zenon Feat. Erire
Love Comes Again (Mark Norman Remix)
Just Be (Antillas Remix)
Kristine W - Save My Soul

Thanks for the recommendations

spiritual...?
thats spiritual?

Posted by Nautilus on Sep-25-2005 06:27:

although I've never heard the term "spiritual trance" before partly because it doesn't exist, tracks by Altitude (no vocals) may be what you are looking for.

A lot of goa tracks have a spiritual theme. But you don't seem to like goa so I won't mention any. (edit: not christian though. but I'd hardly call christian beliefs spiritual)

I love people who don't know styles of music in a genre and come up with their own bullshit like "spiritual" trance, "holy" trance, "duck hunting" trance. Damn just read up on it mate.

I dont understand, how can love comes again (mark norman mix) be spiritual'? and about just be (antillas remix)"?
hum... I think for me the "spiritual" trance could be tracks like:
BT and Paul Van Dyk - Namistai
Humate - love stimulation (pvd love club mix)
Subsky - four days (gil mix)
but well...

(here in Brazil, talk about spiritual trance is the same talk about psy/goa shit...)

that is because psy and goa trance in general are more spiritual than cookie trance ala tiesto ever will be.

Not everything can be easily pigeon holed though, music changes and developes and branches out and effects people and if "trance" doesnt cut it then say it like it is, push the boundaries and common, old conceptions of what things should be.

Ooh... Marco V - Godd

Holy cow Armin, time for the next fad.. Remixes of Gregorian chants.

Posted by chrisxanthus on Sep-26-2005 14:35:

Healing Dream by Sunday Club is spiritual for me. I've known lots of peole that have had the same feeling with that song. I'm talking about the original, not the remixes. I havent heard a remix that does this song justice.

Another for me is Sun is Shining by Technique. The Matt Darey mix is my favorite, but I like all the mixes.

Ok, so maybe "spiritual" was not the right word to use.

How about "inspirational"? How about songs that makes you feel like heaven?

Yeah I know exactly what your talking about. I had posted something a while back about my hope for a trance scene that embraced the
spirituality behind the music just as the goa scene does (but without hippies). Here is a list of some trance tunes I find spiritual.

BT - Embracing The Future (Embracing The Sunshine Mix) & Flaming June
Paul Van Dyk - Forbidden Fruit & For An Angel (E-Work Club Mix)
Robert Miles - Children (Dream Version) (I know, I know overdone...but it definitely is spiritual, even to this day)
Hydra - Affinity (Thrillseekers Dub)
Kalafut & Fygle - 3579 KM & Lullaby
Mark Otten - Mushroom Therapy (Lightscape Mix) & Tranquility
Airwave - Ladyblue (1992 Flight Mix)
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Atlantis Mix) & (Armin van Buuren Remix)
Envio - Time To Say Goodbye
Mark Thorton - Now You See (Original Mix) & (Ross Assenheim Remix)
Little Wonder - Eclipse (Leama & Moor Remix) & (Fictivison vs. C-Quence Remix)
Tek^Tonik - Shine (Tek^Tonik Mix) & (DBA Remix)
Matthew Adams - Sunscape (Alucard's Eagle In The Rain Remix)
Radiate - Crystal Clear (Sonar Method's Lakeside Mix)
Micro De Govia - Dayturn, Voller Sterne (Album Mix) & (Super 8 Remix) & Aura Indigo
Alibi - Eternity (Thrillseeker's New Horizon Mix)
Tastexperience - Summersault
Chicane - Halcyon & Saltwater (Thrillseekers Remix)
Hydroid - Blue Tubes & Incurved
Insigma - Open Your Eyes (Club Mix)
Rapid Eye - Circa-Forever (R.E. Mix) & Santa Cruz (R.E. Mix)
Rio Addicts - Crossroads (Original Mix) & (Probspot Remix)

and the list goes on and on and on....just really any trance songs with a powerful melody, breakdown and just emotion really. Doesn't neccessarily have to have a spiritual message, just has a heavenly feeling, and I don't understand why more people don't take this music this way on these boards or take it more serious, it's not just beautiful music for no reason. Sure you have to have fun too, but spirituality is about fun, it's about enjoying life, not just going to a church. Sure there's the hard stuff and the techy stuff, but when your down in the dumps, or just want an escape from the business of everyday life, this music is perfect. It's been guiding my life since I was thirteen. After all, it wouldn't be called "Trance" for no reason either.

Rio Addict's - Crossroads has a beautiful melody imo. Now that's TRANCE.
