a thought

i was just thinking.. you know how theres so many movies and video games and books about UFOs and Aliens coming to take over the world (independence day, alien, war of the worlds, HALO) and the war between machines and men, countless movies (terminator, matrix, i robot) .. maybe it's because society as a whole is preparing for the inevitable? we are so dehumanized about killing aliens and machines that maybe it's done on purpose, so that we are ready when it happens?

When the aliens & robot warriors do eventually show up on earth, I will definitely be prepared!! Not only do I have glasses of water strategically placed around my house, but I also have armour that is acid resistant, mud to cover my body so they cant see me in infra-red vision mode, some bacteria in a jar & a partridge in a pear tree.

How do we get desensitized to killing machines though?
It's not exactly like people currently shed tears if a robot is put in one of those trash crushy-cubey-makey things

This is the Dan Ackroyd theory. He has been contending for years that various US government agencies have been clandestinely investing in television programs and movies dealing with the Alien invasion or space exploration theame. His believe is that this is being done to prepare the public for the eventual revelation that aliens exist and we are in contact with them. It doesn't seem too far fectched, however, we're talking about a theory developed by Beldar Conehead.... I mean this guy also thought a sequal to Blues Brothers was a good idea 20 years after the origional.... we know how sound a thought that was.

just like years ago when people didn't know much about the earth, so stories were created about god, or dwarves, or elves, or all this other bullshit, just to give humans the ease of knowing and being prepared, maybe the same thing is happening here.
