How many...

people get that weird arrythmia in their hearts sometimes where it stops for a second and you kind of stop breathing and it does a hard lug and then its normal again.

yes im probably dying, its probably cancer, and its not a tumah

Posted by Sunsnail on Sep-27-2005 03:48:

I've never gotten that before... thank god I don't workout and have good cardiovascular health like you!

Posted by Mebot on Sep-27-2005 03:48:

Just a palpitation. Not abnormal for most people occasionally, although unhealthy habits like smoking seem to exacerbate them.

Posted by Orbax on Sep-27-2005 04:31:

I seem to get them a few times a month though :s

Posted by igottaknow on Sep-27-2005 04:33:

lay off the steriods

A properly placed corkscrew punch to the chest stop your heart for a moment (if there's enough intensity). If your heart is already stopped, the punch will probably kill you.

Be careful.

And yes, get it checked out immediately.

Posted by Caela on Sep-27-2005 04:35:

is it after any "recreational" activities? i find that the day after, my heartbeat can get a little irregular, and when i inhale it hurts a little for a second.

Posted by Yan on Sep-27-2005 04:38:

If anyone wants to LEARN the corkscrew punch...

Not a bad idea to mention it on your next checkup, but don't get too freaked out just yet.

Yep they come around every once in a while, nothing to worry about.

Posted by SpecRadio on Sep-27-2005 04:52:

I think I have those...

It runs a burning sensation up your throat from your chest?

I had them a few weeks ago & they're annoying as hell. They keep going for awhile...stop...come back do it maybe once, then stop.

orbax..

it may be an exercising thing .. i kinda had that when i was pushing my body more than i should .. my heart was irregular, and i couldn't really breathe regularly .. then again, i could be breathing incorrectly when bench pressing .. don't know .. maybe you are breathing incorrectly when you are bench pressing ...

hmph .. ..

in light of other news .. congratulations .. you are pimp #1 in the new TA porno flic '3 way me!' ..

Posted by Evil_Gnome on Sep-27-2005 04:57:

Yeah I get those. I will be sitting around and all of a sudden I get a very weird feeling in my chest for about 5 seconds. Then its gone. Usually after workouts.

yeah quitting drinking for me means a six pack or less when I drink. And Ive cut it back to 1 time a week so far. WHich is better than the yah know "recreational 12 pack" that it eventually got to and beyond daily.

and zounds are you in school

really? wait does that mean I get a cape and cane. I want Kramers outfit from the technicolor raincoat.

and yeah its TYPICALLY at the gym ill just be sitting there and it stops and I stop breathing and all of a sudden its like my whole world is focused on this crazy little muscle in my chest and Im thinking "ok shit if it doesnt start again, there is nothing I can do" and it does some weird galoomping and then beats normally and my life begins to focus on other things. It has never happened 2 times in a day, and its usually a few times a month...and sometimes after a really hard night of drinking

My brother gets it too so was wondering if it was genetic or fairly normal.
