Too much delay on that first synth... if that's supposed to be the bassline, then you gotta ease up on the delay... if that's just supposed to be a synth (not bass), then you needa EQ out the bass

I like the phaser effects.

1:50 - i'm not liking the percussion too much, reverse kick sounds fine, but the percussion is a bit excessive.

2:18 - new synth comes in, the song now, melodically, is not making too much sense in my head.

Instead of fading one synth out and bringing another in... i think you should work on trying to get them to all sound good together... layer them and try to create some harmonies.

Not bad so far, but you got a bit of work to do , hope that helps, man.

* listening *

first of all i hadd to check if my speakers were ok, cause the bassline and kick in the beginning there, didnt sound to well in my ears.. i like the melodic stuff here and i love the idea of the bassline changing notes there in the litte break there, i feel the upper synths works really well, but i think u need to work some more on the low end... the synth in 2:50 is lovely, very cool.. but again its ruined by the bass.. and i think the percussions are a bit out of the mix..

great idea u had here, keep on doing this kind of stuff, but i think u really need to take a look at everything but the upper synths..

good luck

Hey mate,

I listened to the whole track now. I like many things in the track. The bass is good and driving, the kick is good. The atmosphere of the track is good as well. Nevertheless here are a couple of pointers which you might want to use to your advantage to make the track better:

- You start with the track right away. No real introduction which will make it very difficult for dj's to mix your track
- that first synth that you introduce almost at the start of the song suddenly disappears between 1.25 minutes and 2.18 minutes which takes away a lot of the energy and results in the fact that the track will lose people's attention between 1.25 and 2.18. It felt weird
- The melody repeats itself for almost the whole 6 minutes. Try to work your way from build up to a break where a more divers melody is introduced.

Overall it is not a bad track because it has that oldskool feel and would suit for dj's to bring a bit of diversity in their sets.

Cheers mate!

Hey Man, Listened to your tune...

Most of the "Issues" have already been addressed...

I just wanted to say you hae a really good sounding signature style, Choppy, Chunky, Darker, "Offset"

Towards the end it sounds "Ravey" And thats a cool sound if you ask me.

My Main issues:

Mixing:

One of thos techy transient synths starts in the middle and works its way very wide in stereo. Its a good idea, but try to mix some synths really wide and others sharp in the middle. i think youll notice instant mix improvements. (and always tweaking the EQ)

Since Tech is your thing, i dont think you should change the groove duration. i.e. leave it pumping as long as you like. when partiers know theyre listening to "Tech" anything, they are expecting 8 minute no stop grooves, and repetition, so thats your style, stick to it.

Lots of Potential!

Good Work.

evil to start with!

shame the arrangement isnt more dj mix friendly..

1;38 sounds dark and very cool. nice drums and pretty original!

all i would change would be to lessen the ammonut of reverb overall. it dirtys the track a bit and kills some of the drive. also add a high hat or something in unison with the kick or up the volume on the hats/clicks etc. or add a wicked big reverbed clap?

loads of potential and deadly sounding!

wo.. lots of outstanding advice and pointers in here.. this will definitly help to boost the production , sorry it took so long for me to reply, but school is very busy these days.. since my exams are going to start within a couple of weeks.. and just to think that ive gotta do one more year after this year... god

_EtherealSL: Im going to clean the entire track, lowering delay and reverb on some parts, and im working on new percussion.. and im tuning the groove !
_Subtle: Thank you too for taking a listen man, as I said before, im going to do a complete overhaul on my track, and well.. I changed the high synth a bit to make it sound good in the groove..
_Nomen Nescio: The buildup for the next update is going to be alot more mix friendly thanks for pointing that out !
_Kthought: Yea the mixing over seems not to go really smooth all the way, but im fairly new to producing, I keep discovering new things .. I just learned about Compressing a couple of days ago
anyway, This willl be fixed in the new update, I hope .
_Richg101: The percussion changed and its going to be more mixfriendly as I said above and Ill definitly try that wicked big reverbed clap man! nice idea!

Thanks everyone for replying.
I really really apreciate it that you guys take time to listen to my productions, your advice is really helping Gotta love TA

Dont really know too much about this style of music. It all sounds pretty good to me though. Could maybe use some boost in the upper mids, but I feel that way about most techtrance though.. guess its just the style.

That melody is pretty killer stuff. Really memorable.

LFo'ed synths at 3.50 are nice. More of that stuff to break up the melody could work since the melody is caned a lot.

way too much delay\reverb
get rid of them and the track will be much better
anyway nice job man!
